    Samsung LN55B650
After 60 existence in home viewing I can honestly say that Samsung LN55B650 is an outstanding LCD HDTV. I did compare to this years LN55C650 and as a matter of fact did not notice any difference in picture quality. I did debate over LED backlit, 3D ready & such but always came back to the B650. The red be on a par with of color does standout but it grew on me. Overall, no complains. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Trounce tv for the money
I woefully reviewed several lcd tv's (including LED) on price, contrast ratio, inputs, size, and reputation from a few websites and customary to stores to see the tv's in person. Kept finding myself returning to the same 2 brands...samsung and LG. The final option was made based on my components. I do not own a Blu-ray (yet..hahhaha) or any other high end device that require HDMI. My components are about 5-6 yrs old and drudgery fine, but lack HDMI inputs. All 2010 and late 2009 LCD/LED models have HDMI only, which would close a component upgrade also. The B650 has the best of all worlds with HDMI and component and composite inputs for all of us who do not yet have the latest and ultimate of electronics. DVD's look awesome by the way...can't wait to get a blu-ray. I also own a 40-inch samsung lcd with 60hz and 1080p, and with the HD coupled from my satelite provider there is a distinct difference in clarity b/w them.
Family and friends will be awe-inspired with the image. The picture is literally out of the box, without adjustments. Currently, I am trying to persuade my dad to buy one in order to substitute his 11 yr old box-monster 4:3 tv which is dying a slow death. Extremely pleased with my acquire. I hope to get more than 6 yrs out of this one than my lcd Hitachi.
And 1 more thing...purchased the tv through amazon.com, not another on-line retailer. I was highly skeptical of buying something so heavy-set and expensive online. Checkout was extra secure with my credit card and shipping was well matched and on-time. Setup was a easy out of the box. I looked into calibration online for this tv just for a little tweaking, but everything was a bit costly.
Samsung Is The Way To Go!
I purchased this TV for $1,499 from one of the critical retail electronics stores about 3 weeks ago and so far I couldn't be happier. I'm loving this TV. I have other LCD TV's in the house and the Samsung outshines them all as far as representation quality is concerned. I have it hooked up to my FIOS set top box and Blu-Ray player via HDMI and the picture is stunning! The blacks are clever and the colors are vibrant and accurate. I haven't even played with the picture controls or calibrated it yet. But so far it looks vast right out of the box. One thing worth mentioning is that when you have the 120hz enabled movies tend to look like they were slug with a digital video camera. They lose their film-like look. Sort of the way a soap opera looks. But if you turn off this feature then movies will look more film like. Some people like the way movies look with the 120hz enabled. I himself like the look of film so I keep it disabled. I only enable it when I'm watching a fast moving experience such as a soccer game etc. Another thing I'd like to point out is that the screen on this TV is shiney. It does not have a matte destroy. I personally love the way the glass screen looks. I feel it makes the picture look clearer. I have 3 other LCD TV's all with matte screens and they don't look scarcely as good. The same goes for my laptops. I have a laptop with a matte display and one with a glass/shiney spread and the shiney display looks so much clearer. However, with that said, I can see where some people may not like the glass drain if they have bright windows sitting directly behind the TV. My windows are on the side so I don't have that problem. Overall I couldn't be happier and am so overjoyed I decided to go with a Samsung TV. I orignally was going to get a Vizio but after comparing the picture qaulity between the 2 TV's the Samsung was a no-brainer. I don't see how anyone couldn't be lucky with this set?
    Unbelievable TV
This tv is gargantuan. I took it out of box, put it on my tv stand, pluged everything in and it worked great. I have my digital cable dvr box and ps3 connected to it via HDMI. The HD channels look big and the watching Blue ray movies is amazing.I'm not a up on all the latest tech but I think this tv is one of the best I've seen. The painting quality is fantastic and it is very easy to set up.
    very satisfactory picture
Got this Samsung LN55B650 to supersede a large DLP, very pleased with upgraded picture quality of this LCD. Updated firmware easily, no problems to engagement. Amazon delivered on time as promised. As others have mentioned, you probably don't want to use the TV speakers though as they don't dive as good as my DLP so I picked up a soundbar system to remedy that.

    Exorbitant Quality TV
We attraction this TV. We already owned a 40" Samsung and have been familiar with their products. This TV lives up to all that has been written about it before. The internet joining is easy to operate and fun to use. The TV base is not as sturdy as I would have expected for such a large TV.
    Looks actual good!
I fitting bought this TV and was totally blown over by it picture quality. HD pictures are looking really movables. I hooked it up to my music system so I can not say anything about the sound.

Reading the reviews here, I was concerned about the glare but I have to say it is not as bad as I had feared.

I have not hooked it up to internet yet. Will update my consider once I do so.
    dfuselier
This is my understudy Samsung the 40" is Great but this 55" is junk.Horrible sound cant hook up to sense that system cause it has no audio outputs.called samsung was treated like crap.If i could donate it i would junk both T.V.'s and Blueray DVD............
    Eximious Value
This was a immense price for a great TV. If you can wait the week for delivery it is a much better deal than anywhere else I looked.
    Skilful TV for the price!
My girlfriend and I set out to buy a Sony LCD. But once we got to the shops, we began looking further into the LED's and the Samsung cover of both types of TV's as well. We both liked the samsung LCD picture more than either LED. The LED pictures were very bright, but had an artificial feel to them, where as the Samsung LCD epitome looked vibrant, crystal-Clear, and visibly brighter than it's Sony counterpart. We compassion the Samsung LCD had the best picture out of all the T.V.s. Blu-Rays look amazing. Our television programs could be gamester, but I am pretty sure it is our AT&T Uverse causing it, as everybody I know with AT&T Uverse claims the HD illustration is not as good as Directv. The internet TV function is fun, but HD movies from Netflix are not avaialable. At least not that I have seen. Amazon did a crucial job of shipping the TV quickly. It showed up in PERFECT condition. The box looked like it just rolled off the Samsung set-up line. No Dead pixels. Amazon saved us a pretty penny, although, the TV has already dropped in worth since I bought it. :( You can't go wrong with this TV.

Which Mass HDTV is Right for My Room?

    HDTV Size chart
With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel warm watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit more rapidly to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the filter size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can person out the size HDTV you should get.

    • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
    • Maximum size=Viewing remoteness/1.5

    Customer Reviews

I received a backward LG 55LE5400, had tremendous difficulty exchanging.
I reproduce many of the pros that other reviewers have posted: Crisp picture, vibrant colors, nice apps and quality set. However, there is marked "cloudiness" around the edges of the screen, most noticeable on dark scenes (like closing credits). I considering it was a defect, so I returned my first unit and had TREMENDOUS difficulty exchanging (outlined below). However, the replacement has the same "misty", almost edge-lit look (but this is a backlit TV). Maybe I just got two bad units? LG claims I should not see anything like that on curtain. In any case, I can't help but cringe anytime I see it, so now i must return this one as well. I guess I'll try Samsung this time around.

There's obviously savings to be had via Amazon; however, I would urge caution when making a big-ticket purchase such as this. I was a little on the qui vive of purchasing a TV online on account of the hassle of freight delivery schedules and the potential for other hassle returning the item if it wasn't to my liking. However, the local brick-and-mortar big box bank priced this unit a couple hundred dollars higher, so I rolled the dice with Amazon. I misplaced. And all my worst suspicions were confirmed. Amazon initially sent me a defective unit ("dowdiness" in the upper corner of the screen). They promptly arranged an exchange of the item at no cost to me. The first pronunciation was through Pilot. No problems. The exchange was through CEVA logistics (whom I understand handle most of their freight deliveries). The transfer was a nightmare, and Amazon was unable to help.

First, the new unit sat in the CEVA warehouse until a week existence the estimated delivery date. When I called Amazon, they called CEVA and informed me that CEVA would be unqualified to deliver it for yet another week. To Amazon's credit, they acknowledged that this was unacceptable and refunded a portion of the pay for price for my trouble. However, my trouble did not end there. CEVA neglected to schedule a delivery time for the friend I was promised. When I called them, they said the earliest they could come wasn't for 4 more days. Then that delivery was cancelled and rescheduled for 3 more existence later. At this point it was 3 weeks late. A delivery window from 1:00-5:00 was scheduled. No childbirth. I called CEVA. No one answered, so I was forwarded to a call center. They had no answers. I called Amazon. They said they'd onward the matter to a different department. Finally, as I was leaving my house for the evening at 7:30, the trash showed up (they were already 3 weeks late; what's another 2.5 hrs.?). Lo and behold, my replacement had arrived.
Whim that "4.5 Star's" were possible??
I have understand all of the reviews posted so far for this T.V. and after having owned this set for more than six weeks I went with a 5-Star rating for this one. I keenness (as the title suggests) that a 4 1/2 star was available to me. But .....I also thought that the lower rating(s) donn were not warranted either. So I just rounded up instead of down. The "lip sync" issue is my ONLY reason for not wanting to give a full 5 famed's without any hesitation. This product gives me everything and more that I desire. I do wish that the PIP (picure-in-picture) was rescued in our products offered once again. That is a star that I really do miss (not featured from most any manufacturer).

The audio problem (lip sync) did seem to improve after I bought and connected the wireless dongle. It found and ran the LG updates automatically. I love the use of the Netflix, Yahoo, YouTube, and Picasa widgets. I use all that are at one's fingertips to me (except Vudu) and I look forward to the many other(s) that I hopefully will see soon. The thin & lightweight feature as well as the many other options of this result are just incredible. I love the "Aspect Feature" & "Picture Mode" that this set has. The distant is smartly arranged and well thought out. The screen is bright and amazingly clean and sharp to the eye at most any approach that you could/would attempt to place it in. I am still learning all of the options and settings that this unit has available. The default settings are all right to me but I am amazed at the plethora of choices that are offered anyway.

I am so happy with this product that I am now looking seriously at the LG Blu-ray surroundings sound systems that (should) easily interact with the T.V. remote. I hope that I will be able to reduce the include of remotes that are needed to operate all my viewing desires. I would appreciate any comments with info/savoir faire on this subject. I also have enjoyed NOT needing the LG support team so far. Because of this I (happily) cannot report accurately on this disposed to.

All in all the "LG5400" has the best value that any product has to offer anywhere close to this price point! I would NOT hold to purchase this product again......EVER!!
Prodigious picture quality, acceptable sound, good features
Bought the TV a few weeks back from Amazon and have been impressed with the excellence so far. I did reasonable research before buying this TV to replace an old 27" TV that I had for almost 11 years and wanted something that had godlike features.

I compared the LG with Samsung 6500 series TV at a local store and did not notice any expressive difference between the two. Compared to a bunch of TVs next to this one, the brightness seemed a bit high (relatively less dark), but nothing concerning.

I ordered the TV through Amazon for a respectable price and the service was good (Ceva). They delivered to the second floor but I had to setup the TV myself (no inauguration and check-up like a full-fledged white-glove service). It was not difficult but needs 2 populace at least.

The picture quality is sharp and clear and the sports action (football) was quite well-mannered. The audio lacks punch, as can be expected from a 10w speaker. However, I wish they included better speakers by non-fulfilment. Also had to purchase a wi-fi adapter separately. Again, would've been nice if it were included with the system (hence 1 star less). That said, it is no different from its competitors.

The prevalent reason I went for the LG compared to Samsung was the price (around $500 less for the same features) and the matte wrap up dispose of. The matte finish makes a huge difference if you are going to keep the TV in a well-lit room. In the store, I could see all the lights in the back reflected off the Samsung, while it was scarcely noticeable in the LG. Same at home with large windows.

So far, I have not noticed any weird issues as mentioned in the other posts. The draw quality is good and the brightness, contrast, and colors are more than adequate for an average TV user.

If you are in the peddle for a 55" TV and if you have a bright room, this is definitely worth a consideration.

    Pros:
    - Excellent image quality
    - Standard set of Internet applications (Netflix, Picasa, YouTube, Vudu)
    - Well-thought-out number of options to tweak
    - Matte finish is great for a brightly lit room with stocky windows
    - DLNA support works flawlessly to stream music from computer to the TV (haven't tried video yet)
    - Input and Result ports are sufficient for most scenarios
    - Very thin (around 1")
    - Aesthetically pleasing

    Cons:
    - Speaker quality is ordinarily. A home theater system is strongly recommended for better quality
    - Remote control is ordinary. It's clunky to type using the remote
    - Internet Widgets are slow, but functional. Not too many widgets. Removing widgets is not psychic.
    - Additional wi-fi adapter required for wireless Internet connectivity. Costs around $50-$80

Noteworthy picture, audio seems off sometimes
Glaring picture on this set, but the audio seems to be off sometimes. It looks like an old Bruce Lee movie sometimes, that has English piped in to dub the Chinese. The lip trend and the audio don't seem to match up?
    Associated Performance
I've had the set for a month. The LG 55LE5400 provides all the features I wanted for viewing TV, internet or other media I have at one's fingertips. That is a plus. Most important, it the very thin profile that I wanted for wall mounting. The picture is sharp and auspicious when viewing HD sources, however other than HD sources look a bit fuzzy. That's disappointing but expected. High step scenes in sports action, are blurred. The TV has 120Hz refresh rate which is suppose to help this setting. This blurring takes some getting used to and becomes less anoying over time. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the picture except for a mark issue that has yet to be fixed. The set has had a problem with the backlighting from day one. The lower right fourth of the screen is noticably darker than the turn up of the viewing area. LG was responsive and sent a technician to the house to look at it. He said at least one of the LED backlights is not working (this is new suitable out of the box) and ordered a new screen since the backlights are an integral part of the screen. I'm still waiting for the new screen. If it takes much longer to fix this cause c my opinion of LG and this set will change drastically.

Samsung LN55C630 Depiction in Picture ???
Pros: A number Picture quality. Very nice looking bezel and frame. Large number of features and settings. Lightweight and vigour-efficient for it's size.

Cons: Semi-Gloss screen; not as bad as some Plasma screens, but finish. My Major Gripe - Not true Picture and Picture... PIP only displays whatever comes-in through Urge connection. Really Samsung.. coax? With a 55" HD LCD, who would use any input on Coax anymore? Why would you limit PIP to use charm, when you have all those inputs?
Even my technologically inept mother uses component connections from her Cable box. Not to indicate most cable providers these days offer HD boxes for free.
This is the one major "Duh" moment by Samsung. I was at bottom hoping to make good use of the PIP feature. Dissapointing. Hopefully a future firmware update will correct this harm.
    Disposition This TV
We bent our new Samsung LCD TV. I researched a lot on tvs. We came down to Samsung and LG. We found that LG had some better ratings consumer reports. The idea however on the Samsung sold us. Also, we heard on the Samsung the sound is not that good without a sound bar.... we have not the bar and let me let something be known you the sound is plenty good. In fact it can blare pretty darn loud. We already own a submerge system so we will hook it in but if you cannot afford a bar right away don't sweat it you can take your time. The picture is wonderful! The TV is very well made.
    Mentally deficient Television
I purchased this TV here at Amazon for which I thought I was buying from Amazon, Instead it was sold by Electronics Expo. A day after I received it upon viewing some pictures, I noticed blotches of uneven lighter shapes that ballooned out from the left side of the frame. I spoke to a boob tube salesman from an electronics store and I was told this is a defect. That it is most likely caused by an improper seal. I called Electronics Expo, they told me to call Samsung. When I said that I'd like to trade or return it, they said that they don't accept back televisions that are bigger than twenty inches! What? Where does it say that here? Who ever heard of such a affair!? Samsung has no intention of replacing the TV they had a service technician call who wants me to do my own testing of the television.

It's appealing bad when you get a defective set right out of the gate. Samsung's customer service people in general have been attractive rude and unhelpful. I wish I had known about this before I purchased one of their products. Stay far away from this offering and Samsung in general.
    Profound television, great price
Whenever I am thriving to spend a lot of money on something (and sometimes, even when I will be spending very little on something), I like to do as much research as possible. I look at Consumer Reports, study as many reviews as possible, and ask around. While doing that, I found this television here.

I initially came across this TV because my husband and I wanted a big gauge, and this one was on sale at Best Buy at the time. It came highly recommended by the gentleman at the store, and by most reviews I found online totally. In the store, there seemed to be some skipping in the picture - parts where the movie or show seemed to speed up for a second and then slow to straight speed - that made me nervous. I was so annoyed by it in the store, that I almost went with a smaller TV by Samsung until I learned that the "skipping" can sometimes be caused by your friend at court speed. I was HUGELY relieved to get our TV, hook it up, and find that everything was fine, no skipping at all.

The picture quality is unusually good. Even compared with an LED LCD (the latest HD craze), there wasn't that much of a difference, at least not enough to pay the hundreds more for an LED LCD. Compared with others, I liked Samsung the superb, and if you're going to go for a bigger TV, I think the 55" is perfect. I would have been happy with the 46", but my husband wanted bigger, and we compromised on this one. In the end, it turned out to be right-minded right. Had we gone bigger, say to a 57" or 60", that would have been too big, but I think a little bit smaller would have been dainty, if needed.

The only problem we have had is when my husband plays video games that are really dark. HD's in non-exclusive have a harder time rendering black colors, but we found an easy fix is to adjust the brightness in the position, and then the picture is perfect again.

Overall, you can't beat the price on Amazon. Even with this exact same TV being on sale at Most skilfully Buy, it was still at least $400 cheaper on Amazon. Adding sales tax, delivery charges and all that, it was almost $650 cheaper than A-one Buy.

If you are looking for a really good, somewhat larger, high-quality HD at an extremely opportune price, I would definitely recommend that you buy this one.
    Smooth and reflections
I've had the TV for a not any over a month. The screen is extremely glossy, reflective and has rainbows. (See pics). Black levels are mannerly, but a little muddy when in a darkened room. I've messed around with most of the settings and just can't get the blacks to show appropriate detail. There is a very tiny flashlight effect in the two lower corners, but barely noticeable. Colors are saintly, but inconsistent when watching cable so it's probably not the TV's fault. I see occasional lip sync issues, but again I've only seen this watching wire and it's not all the time, so I don't think it's the TV. Off angle picture definitely degrades.

During the day, or with any lights on, the TV is barely watchable due to reflections. I get rainbows if a abuse is on and faces the TV. The only time I get good viewing is at night with almost all the lights off. If you have any lights on they have to be very low and not face the TV. It's not perfectly the screen that's glossy, its also the frame. It seems like Samsung designs TVs that look better when they are turned off than when viewing. Samsung familiar to claim on its website for 2010 models that the TV had a special coating that "virtually eliminates gaudiness and reflections". This is a total lie and false advertising. I wonder if they were afraid of getting sued because it seems they have removed it.

I turned the Vehicle motion plus off because some shows would "jerk" like it was skipping frames. This feature is also invalid advertising. I haven't seen any advantage to having this turned on and I have viewed sports, pictures, concerts, blu-rays, etc. There is no headphone jack at all. If you want to use headphones there is a 3.5mm line out, but you will not be masterly to adjust the volume. I had to hook up a stereo receiver to the TV just to be able to use headphones. The one bailiwick this TV excels in my opinion in that there is almost zero motion blur which I am sensitive to.

I compared all the 55 inch models over the since 3 years (expect Vizio TruLED. Couldn't find one anywhere) and was never happy with any of them. Plasmas are too hot, burn in, etc. LED uneven backlight, expensive. Strange bezels (TOC red?). The picture on this TV is 99% as good as the Samsung LEDs. Who cares about thinness? I don't look at it from the side.

So why didn't I results it? I just can't find anything I like. All Samsung 55 inchers are glossy now. I looked at non glossy Sony and LG. I don't like the Sony bezel and I see more fragment/motion blur on Sony's than Samsung. LGs look nice, but the picture doesn't seem to pop, funereal levels look worse and I see a little more motion blur than Samsungs. The LG 8500 paragon has the glossy screen as does the new high end Sonys. Maybe LG 55LD650, 55LE5400/5500 would have been a superior way to go but the prices fluctuate and I didn't feel like going through the hassle of returning, getting a new TV and risking not being favourable with that one and starting all over again. I am just tired of looking. My solution is to get a 40 or 46 inch version of this TV for my bedroom to tend during the day, because those models are non glossy and watch the big one only at night. If anyone knows of any type of large black hide I can place behind my couch to block reflections it would be greatly appreciated.

The following is not directly affiliated to the TV, but to those just jumping into HDTV:

I've had several HDTVs over the years and always returned them. At first there was a lack of HD content. Now that's fixed, except wire TV still hasn't gotten their act together. You'll be watching a show in HD, then the commercials in SD. Sometimes they just stretch SD and distort the picture. Sometimes the HD channels have beastly HD quality.

It drives me nuts that movies are in all different aspect ratios that create bars on the top, bottom and sides that alter your TV into a much smaller set. You will have bars on the top and bottom with 1:85, 2:20, 2:35 and 2:40. You will have bars on the side watching remastered classics like Gone with the Go for broke deflate someone in 1:33. Also bars on the sides with IMAX content. Can you tell I hate widescreen? Panavision is a Rube Goldberg invention that movie theaters came up with when people started getting TVs in their homes to attract them to the pictures again. Does not translate well in the home. Especially 2:40. James Cameron is the only director that will allow this and is why he insisted that Avatar blu-rays be in 16:9 to fit the whole screen. A much more satisfying and immersive viewing experience than watching an "anamorphic" 2:40 widescreen "splinter". I wish they would include two versions on the disk. Original widescreen format and 16x9 full veil version.

Also, blu-rays having 4 and 5 disks just to watch one movie, like Rapier Runner? Director cut, extended cut, etc. Just drives the price of the DVD up.

Which Extent HDTV is Right for My Room?

With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit sooner to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the television size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can semblance out the size HDTV you should get.

    Noble product!
I purchased this tv for my fiancee and he loves it! He is very basic of his electronics so I know it is a great product if it passes his test.
    Faultless quality, reasonable price
I've bought this LG LD650 TV about three weeks. It functions well as I infer from previous comments on Amazon! So far so good! the image quality is very clear when I watch the Avatar crestfallen ray HD movie. Speakers are just acceptable. I didn't test the wireless function, but I have made a out of kilter of LG wireless adaptor. In sum, nice quality and reasonable price.
    Misssing Part
I have received my new tv (LG55LD650) yesterday to find out the part ("exemplify body") for assembling the stand to the screen is missing. I contacted LG customer service to learn it will take 7 to 10 charge days to ship the part.

I was aware of the risk involved in buying a large item without seeing it first present to but the price was competitive. It is not Amazon's fault. Rather, it is LG factory's lax inspection and quality control system. I will conceive of twice before I buy a high value LG item online. Something to think about if you wish to avoid a run around.
    Non-Techie, Fondness this TV
So first off, I'm not very Tech savvy anymore. I was very popular and on top of the tech world around the Windows 98 era. Anyway, I didn't know anything about many of the new features or specs when I started shopping for a new TV. Over about a month, I looked at about 1000 spec sheets and started at least seeing what the charge tag:spec sheet correlations were. I have another LG, a 32" that I got for a very decent price and was very pleased with the quality and the LG's seem to be a teeny-weeny cheaper than the Samsungs and Sonys with similar specs. Long story short, I pulled the trigger on this guy all in all because I was tired of shopping and comparing and Amazon had it on sale. That being said, I am extremely happy with it so far. I've had it for about a month now and have no sorrow. The picture was the most important thing for me since I don't know much about anything else and it is fantastic in HD. I'm on DirectTV and the HD channels are amazing on this feature. Beware though that many of the non-HD channels look like crap. I don't think that is specific for this TV though and is a fact for most big screens. So if you don't have alot of HD programming, I would reconsider a 55" HDTV. All the HD matter looks great though and Blu-Ray will blow your socks off. We watch it in a fairly dim room, but even with alot of lights on there is minor to no glare on the screen, which I really like. Now as to the other stuff, the 240 Hz "Tru Motion" feature is actually cool for live sports but makes movies and TV shows look jittery. Heartily to explain, but it just doesn't look right. Easy to turn off and on though so no big deal to me. I ethical turn it on for sports. The sound is good in my opinion, but I am considering adding a speaker bar for some bass, generally for movies. The set puts out good sound and gets really loud (we watch at 30-40 out of 100 most of the rhythm) but doesn't have a lot of bass. Again, I think that is true for most of the flat panels. I don't use the connectivity on the TV because I use my Blu-Ray player for that, but it's an LG as well and looks to have all the same features as the TV. Netflix is a under par investment because the streaming content is not HD and doesn't look very good. Vudu looks important though and is easy to use.
All in all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who has alot of HD programming.
    Expert deal for the price
Delicate big clear screen with good connectivity options. A really good deal for the guerdon. I used this to replace my smaller and more expensive Sony, and I am happy with the change.
