Q: I have an Hitachi Plasma 42HDT50 that's about 2 years old. Recently it has inchmeal developed a problem with a particular part of the display about 2" in from the left peevish that's about 2" wide, running vertically from top to bottom. That portion of the display is mostly a astray white band, with some varying solid colored pixel words that show up in different rows. Sometimes the band is black. When it first showed up the band would glint and eventually display normally, now it is a constant band that varies only in which pixel words have color. At times it is a solid white band.
This display has an married Audio Video Control Center, but I am thinking that the problem is most meet in the display itself, in the address board for that side of the display.

A: that spread I believe has 2 boards, one for each side of the display. I have found the connectors to these boards become loose with the fieriness the display generates. I have found many with that same problem and as soon as I touched the connector to that side I found that it went nuts. I repaired it by removing the Mailgram from the connector to the board and display, I lightly push down on the metal connector to give it advantage contact, then i replace the cable into the correct connectors and hot glue them in quarters. works every time and no call backs.
