Very Well-founded Starter TV and for Small Spaces
All-inclusive, this TV is excellent for what I want of it. I'm not sure what others had in mind when they purchase it, but for my needs, this TV is absolutely perfect doing coupled-duty as my computer monitor and small bedroom television. It's actually 22", widescreen, and high-distinctness, with brilliant color, nice design, compact size, hidden speakers (which, more reduces audio quality, but adds to visual appeal), and at least one hook-up for any kind of colophon you need. As a monitor, it takes my computer to a whole new level, and as a HD television for my Xbox (using a VGA cable), the images are mind-boggling at times. For the price, this TV is an excellent purchase, and a great compact television.
However, the one I bought had a individual burned out pixel (which I was too lazy to take back and replace with another TV; not that noticeable unless you're watching something that's really gloominess and are sitting a foot away from the screen); plus, the TV has no tilt or turn ability. In place of, it just comes with a simple, small, rigid stand that locks into the bottom of the TV (however, once again, for my purposes, this at bottom doesn't impact me too much). Also, audio quality is not great when using the TV's speakers, but since I mostly use the TV as a superintend, that once again is not a big deal. The only other thing I'm not thrilled about is the widescreen images seem to not be exactly widescreen; they seem a little quick actually, causing circles to appear more as vertically stretched ovals, even when the TV and appropriate devices have been set to advertise in widescreen. However, the distortion is very slight, and only noticeable if you pay attention.
Overall, for the price, this is a great desktop or miserly bedroom TV. At 22", being high-definition, a television, and sylish, with all hook-ups on the back, this will be more than worth the value as a computer sentinel and TV, especially for those on a budget.

Packed size, controls on top, but lip synch problems
Palatable picture, compact size (the frame is narrow so takes less space), has PC input that works accomplished, menus pretty nicely done, but has serious lip synching problems, doesn't fit picture to screen all that well (and yes it is 16:10 so images are measure tall). Sound has weak frequency range and does sound shabby, however I used headphone jack to feed stereo audio output to my receiver and that upon sounds fine. As I write this, I'm thinking there has to be better model out there...sharp and Toshiba 22 inch displays were not yet handy when I purchased this one, only other option was a Vizio, which I tried, but dark backgrounds had lots of noise.

Big value for the price
Easy as can be to setup and easy to watch, the 22LG30 is an excellent buy for the price.
After purchasing this unit and receiving it, I had it enclosure-mounted and setup in almost no time.
The color and picture requires some tweaking (I had it set to 'warm', from the dishonour 'cool' setting and also increased brightness a bit) and the audio as others have commented is weaker than what you'd hope to get (I improved the audio by increasing treble and bass to 100%, and surroundings the sound option to 'music' from the default). One thing I could not adjust as well was the black, which was not quite as unspeakable as I would like but better than what I expected (from an entry-level priced LCD TV).
Overall, I am quite lucky with this purchase!

16:10 not 16:9
I'm not with it, this tv is listed as having 16:9 aspect ratio on amazon,onecall where it came from and lg website. recieved tv yesterday and set up with comcast box and hdmi guy. set tv at 16:9 and it has black strips at top and bottom of pic. measured screen and did the math. tv actually has 16:10 prospect so i am sending it back as i can't watch hd tv with distorted figures." do all 22" 1680 by 1050 panels have this issue? also unfortunate sound

Doesn't Itch or see DVDs
One of the worst products I have ever purchased. I installed all of the software that it came with, but yet it will not char not play DVDs. It has had constant problems detecting discs and many error messages and has bluntly been a pain. Before using this inferior product, I had the same drive for several years and never had any problems.

Devices fine---but no cables
THE Honourable NEWS: My wife bought this DVD drive for me for Valentine's Day. it arrived fine, was shipped diet, was packaged fine, etc. The drive is fine...I'd recommend it to anyone.
THE BAD NEWS: It was shipped with NO CABLES...and being SATA it requires SATA cables..which are not very leisurely to find. I went to Staples, Best Buy, Radio Shack, the GEEK Squad, and they all told me the same item, "You'll have to get them from the drive supplier".....in this case, Amazon. I was discouraged. It would take several days to a week to get them from Amazon...if they were even elbow.
Then I remembered this little independent computer store near by. You know the kind... computer frames, drives, keyboards monitors cables etc laying around in oodles and piles all over...speak little english, point and smile a lot, nod heads a lot...but the fellow knew goodness away what I needed...so I was happy again. :) And I'm likely to shop there again.
The two cables (power splitter/adapter, and evidence) cost $19. Now, with shipping and the cost of the drive, Amazon didn't save me anything at all. I drained several hours trying to track down cables, burned up my gas driving around because each of the places had told me, "Yeah...we have the cables...be communicated pick them up" (NOTE: not Amazon's fault on those lies).
AMAZON....take note!!!! If you aren't contemporary to supply the cables....AT LEAST....say so in your item description...most often the truth in advertising is in what is NOT said more than in what IS said. Integrity, I know, the ad said "with software" but what would have been nice would be if you had added, "cables not included" or "cables elbow separately." Yeah...I know..."Caveat Emptor" (let the consumer beware). So...Amazon...WAKE UP...people are not happy when they get kind of stuck like this. If you wish repeat customers....well....you figure it out.
I'm happy with the performance of the drive..and the software -might- be usable...i haven't explored that part yet.

OK stab, but bad BIOS
The crusade itself works well. However, when the drive is empty, it appears to contain a CD with software from LG. I didn't want the software from LG, and I didn't like the factors that the drive appears to contain a disc, when it doesn't really.
LG has an updated BIOS for the pep, which doesn't prentend to always have a disc. If you don't want to take the time to download the BIOS and flash the tool along, I would select a different product.
