Cleaning a LG LCD TV?
Q: Hello, I recently bought a LG 37" LCD HDTV (37LH20)...And every conditions I look at it, I see more and more smudges on the screen and gloss boarder as well as scratches. (2) Try a microfiber cloth (cotton is your friend) and no liquids. See if a dry wipe/shine can't get it clean. If you avoid all liquids, all the better. It might not work, but I'd try this first.
(3) No household organization products. Anything ammonia or bleach based is not your friend. Stay in a different place from Windex.
(4) Read the manual. See if it says anything about cleaning the TV. It might specifically say things to not use. That is what you fundamental to be most concerned with. It might not say anything at all, but make sure you know that.
(5) Just go to Best Buy or any electronics/TV/big box accumulation and ask them for a LCD cleaning kit. They come with a microfiber cloth (or should) and cleaning solution. Precisely double check the solution contents with anything you found in the manual (if it flagged anything to not use).
Dim the solution lightly onto the cloth (never the TV) and then wipe it down as instructed.
