Q: Ok, about 3 weeks ago I bought a LG 52LG70 HDTV. It was purchased through Electronics Expo and then shipped to my lodge. The box was badly damaged during shipping, but the TV appeared to be fine so I kept it, noting the box modify on the receipt.
Three days ago, the TV started to turn off, and then back on quickly after switching channels. I called up EE and they said they couldn't do anything for me because they don't admit returns on TVs that are larger than 20 inches. So I called LG, and now I've been back and forth on the phone with them taxing to solve the problem. They are supposed to call me back later tonight to set up a time to get it serviced.
I frankly don't want it repaired. I just want my money back so that I can now go buy a Samsung at Most skilfully Buy (which is over an hour away, reason why I had it shipped anyways). Do you reckon if I keep persisting with LG they will just give me my money back and I can return the TV? I mean, I paid virtually 2000 dollars for it and it's already breaking down after 3 weeks? Please someone tell me its possilbe, my parents don't seem to contrive I'll get anywhere with it.
