1) the lamp fan is not working--unlikely because there would be an error code and the set would not serve at all.
2) There is a clogged lamp fan airway or filter.
Are you replacing the whole lamp and shelter or just the bulb inside the housing? If you are replacing just the beaker then this is probably one of these Mits models that has a screen on the lamp housing about 3/4" X 2" that clogs up with dust that by turns metal grey because of the heat. Its a screen that looks very much like metal. When you find it----separation it and this will cure your problem. ALL OF THE cooling air goes through this screen--the replacement housings came with a telly with much larger holes---but could still clog up
