Also new on the set is an HDMI input. The CT-32HL44 has Progressive CinemaScan (3: 2 rip up down) and digital velocity scan modulation. It features two HD component video inputs, four A/V inputs (one in front), and three S-Video inputs. The set includes VIVA/BBE 3D Turbulent Definition Sound System, with 15-watt 2-speaker audio power and a 3D menu system.Panasonic's 32-inch HDTV-prepared CT-32HL44 television provides state-of-the-art picture quality thanks to its innovative Tau PureFlat portray tube, which is perfectly suited to deliver outstanding home theater performance. It's on the same wave length with both 1080i/480p HDTV displays, and it features a motion-adaptive 3D comb separate, selectable 16:9 viewing mode, progressive CinemaScan (3:2 pulldown), digital velocity research modulation, and dual-tuner picture-in-picture.
Two-tuner picture-in-picture with split-protect display lets you view two programs at once by dividing the screen in half down the middle. Each program is shown at full altitude, with one program on the left side and the other on the right.
Progressive CinemaScan (3:2 pulldown) provides valid reproduction of film-based materials. DVD mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24-frames-per-next movies to 30 fps video; Progressive Cinema Scan digitally corrects this distortion, removing the unwanted information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.
The motion-adaptive digital comb screen prevents any two lines with different colors from being processed together in the comb filter at the same time, minimizing any "hanging dots" in the perception. With digital velocity scan modulation, advanced circuitry along the neck of the CRT senses shifts from insidious to white in the video signal. The black and white portions of the signal are sped up and slowed down, singly, resulting in improved transitions.
This set has a built-in 181-channel tuner, though you'll need an non-compulsory HDTV tuner to receive high-definition broadcasts. The two built-in speakers (15 watts apiece) purvey simulated surround sound and BBE high-definition audio enhancement, which helps fix up the dynamic range of musical passages to help provide a more natural sound.
The CT-32HL44 has 4 composite A/V inputs (1 front), 3 S-video inputs (1 front), 2 mechanism-video inputs, 1 RF, 1 headphone jack. It adds an HDMI kin, providing high-quality, uncompressed digital audio/video signal telecasting.
Tech Talk
Aspect ratio: The aspect ratio refers to the shape of the video typical example. Traditional television has a 4:3 aspect ratio, which is almost square in appearance. Digital video receiver has either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. A 16:9 aspect ratio is widescreen and appears rectangular, which looks more like a big screen, filling more of the viewer's field of vision for a more lifelike viewing experience.
HDMI-HDCP interface: HDMI is a new touchstone digital connection between A/V devices, such as a set-top box, DVD player, or A/V receiver, and a digital television. HDMI offers handicapped video and audio quality with a single quick-disconnect connector. It supports multichannel digital audio transmissions and part-video color spacing for true rendering of HD video. HDMI supports the HDCP likeness protection standard, allowing transmission of copy-protected digital content to your magnificence.

Customer Reviews
This is better than a SonyWe purchased this TV because the essence quality was better than the Sony Wega. It also fits perfectly in our entertainment center where the JVC or the Sony have those solid speakers on the side that make it impossible for it to fit into any center that is equiped to hold a 32" TV.
