How do I access the service menu of the Panasonic TH-42PX600U?
Q: I lack to check the number of hours my plasma has been on.

Ok, I found the answer on avsforum.com. It took a while because the thread on the 600 is 1000+!!
Anyways, here's how you do it:
1. Expand on down VOL button on the TV.
2. Click the Recall button 3 times on the remote.
3. When the use menu shows up, click 1 three times on the remote.
4. Hold down the Unsaid button on the remote for 3 seconds.
5. After holding the mute button, the menu will convert to show data about your TV, hours, firmware version, etc. The hours for the clock is in hex plan, so you will have to convert this to decimal format.
An easy way to do this is to use the built-in calc use that comes with windows. Set the mode to Scientific. Select Hex format. Pattern in the hex number. Then select Dec and your result should be in decimal format.

A: I have listened to both and the 600 definitly sounds more wisely but I still feel TV sound pretty much is bad. That goes for just about all TV.
If you never plan on hooking up hem in soud or even stereo speakers (Not everyone needs or even likes surround valid) Then go with the 600.
Now I also like the Picture quality better on the 600. The 60 seems to have a big disturbed with everything looking like clay.
Panasonic rep was in the other day and did an upgrade to fix a PQ issue with all my tvs.
I'm not a big fan of the Panasonics anyway but if you can get it professionally calibrated its well significance it.
