We purchased this set in Oct 2008 at our district Overpower Buy (by the way at the 9 fee that Amazon has today in 2009) and are very jubilant with it. See in the mind's eye is overwhelming, rudder easygoing to use. Our guy presence switched our HD cablegram box from a mechanism put out to HDMI, and man, did the illustration get even greater.
We also use an Apple TV relevant to this goggle-box via HDMI, that looks true as well. Famous fun to surf YouTube in a beeline on the TV, and the mark is in actuality fair respectable. We’ve rented and purchased HD pictures on the Apple TV and they look incredible as well.
Even though it is only 720p the see in the mind's eye looks renowned for my aging eyes, and we use it in a heavy-set living range seated at least 8 feet back. I’m not unavoidable we could admit a adjustment between 720p and 1080p anyway. Prodigious way to set free a few bucks.
There is an optical audio output, so you can send the audio from your HDMI sources out to your recipient as well. We don’t use the speakers on the TV, we run everything through our Onkyo, which also sounds outstanding.
The essential cons:
This set is enlightenment on inputs; only 2 part inputs on the back, 2 HDMI inputs on the back, and one HDMI on the front. With more and more mat using HDMI you might have to turn a radio to the front and become the wee entrance free. Smaller bother, as we don’t have ours fence-mounted.
Also, this quirk is rated for almost 500 watts of power when it’s on. I did make out our power bill went up a bit bit when we switched from our 19″ tube to this horridness. But the paint is ardent and advantage the power scanty. (I tender plasma over LCD)
By the way, this is our only TV, and we’re pleased we picked this replica.

If I had rated this TV a few time ago, it would have gotten five stars. However, it perfectly died the other tenebrosity while my partner and I were watching TV on it. It made a ‘pop’, and the picture went to another place.
I tried disconnecting the power, and turning it back on. It blinks the red LED ten times, waits, then repeats. Looks like an trespass rules to me.
It was a loyal TV before it died. It died about two months after the one year covenant ran out.

What are the best picture settings for a Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U?
Q: I bought a Panasonic 42 inch plasma and can't seem to get the depiction settings right. Does anyone have any suggestions?
We have HD cable so our HD channels are gigantic. But the non HD channels I can't get the picture to look clear.
A: non-HD channels are very likely not going to look clear on this set. This is a full 1920x1080p television - and displaying a sample definition 720x480i signal and stretching it to fit the screen is going to demean the quality - which would be true on any "full HD" set, not just this one.
Televisions with cut native resolutions (for example, 1366x768 or 1280x720) will splendour standard definition okay because it doesn't have the scale the picture as much.
You might try using the s-video interrelationship from the cable box to your television in conjunction with the high definition HDMI or gear - then when you're viewing the standard definition channels you can switch to S-Video - which is also a paragon definition connection. The panel may have more correction there and display the image in a behaviour that is more suitable to your tastes.
Also, if the television has input memory, you may be able to standardize the s-video input to get a better SD image w/o interfering w/ the HD input at the same everything.
How much would you pay for a Sharp LC 46D82U or a Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U 42" Plasma HDTV?
Q: These are label new televisions that I posted online for sale and I am wondering how much would the typical client is willing to purchase this item. I tried to sale the items a few dollars cheaper but still, no actual results. Can someone that has experience on websites such as craigslist help me out.
A: If you are selling them online you must post them much further than retail price, because its easier for somebody to walk into a store and purchase the offering from a trustworthy retailer, than to deal with someone over the internet. I would try to sell it for at least 20% below retail to start with. Even if it is new, it has decreased value because the consumer will have to pick it up or pay to have it shipped.
I just bought a 42" Panasonic Viera TH 42PZ80U 1080p for 1199.99. Did I make a good choice?
Q: I was in between Plasma and LCD for a while now, I did not pick up the Tv yet. I had a realm of possibilities of this model or a Toshiba Rezka 42" LCD 1080p for 999.99. I am hoping I did not muddle myself by getting a plasma in the long run. The pic looks great on both sets although. Please let me conscious any info before I pick this item up, Im thinking of switching to the LCD Toshiba...
A: its a wares TV, but you could have gotten it cheaper. $999 at www.jr.com..../
