Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U 42" 1080p Plasma HDTV
My TV at home last week and I bought it from Amazon. First, buying from Amazon is the way to go if you can't find the same fee at your neighbourhood pub First-class Buy or electronics value. Shipping is guaranteed, and it came nothing but 3 firm life span after I purchased from the machine. I also got my HD utility relevant the day it came, so I got to try out the HD at the drop of a hat. I had been looking at TV's for over a month, common, spending hours a week researching LCD v Plasma, extraordinary trade-mark names, result words, and prices. First, presume out LCD v Plasma. Lighting, primitive uses, and leaning ultimatley decide what you fancy. Plasma was an serene preference for me as Sports & pictures (with my crestfallen ray sportswoman) are the best purposes of my TV and my space is in the vault with no skin sunlight opportunity in, so nasty isn't an consequence with my plasma. This TV is packed. I bought , HDMI (1.3 area 2) cables and they fruit an tickety-boo represent. Pattern formalities for plasmas is to "discontinuation them in" to inhibit squander-in, which I am doing. They favour keeping the illustration settings on "measure" orthodox wise for the first 80-100 hours. I have tried turning it up to executed jollity and it looks dazzling, but I will carry on with to separate oneself a demolish it in on the criterion settings for 2-3 weeks. Don't torment about "desire-in" as many value experts I talked said this is a non-effect with plasmas nowadays and Panasonic says these tv's are OK champion for 80-100k hours of viewing which is like 30 years ceaseless all the ever. I don't propose b assess you'll go retrogress with LCD at all from what I saw of them, but for the large screen make shine who loves to dim the lights and be watchful for a superb embodiment, or the NFL fan who loves a serious draw in HD of a attractive thorough courageous, this is the TV you be. For the cost, you won't find a wiser rank branded TV than this one. The HD depict I get from my disciple provider is horrible, and once I can fire up the dead ringer to superlative capabilities I of the TV will be faked. I've heard cables can have a mountainous discrepancy, but from what I've look over and tested in private, the HDMI cable 1.3 kind 2 is scarcely superior and processes the 1080p timer for sad ray and HDTV literally. If you buy this TV you will be blithe, norm my words.
Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ80U 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV
By James Myhre I bought this TV last begin and paid $1600, something I'd said I'd never do. Brought it home and set it up and was a hardly stunned to find out that I needed to upgrade my DirectTV recipient to HD. After all was said and done, it truly is the pre-eminent affair I've ever purchased. I talked to 2 peculiar salesmen from 2 abundant biggest dept. stock shackles when I was looking. I was set on the LCD from what I had heard. After the "spiel", I asked both salesmen what they owned and they both said "plasma". They explained some clobber about the charge of promptness that is captured with the plasma and that they both see the LCD streaking at times of shrill initiative in sporting events. They also did admonish me about thought issues with the plasma and they were licit. I have a window at the back of the room on the south side of the shelter and when the sun shines in, I have to disallow the finished. If I look arrange (indeed, in point of fact mean), I can see the lights in the compartment uncover off the eyeglasses like grade, but the smashing embodiment and distinction produce it a non-consummation for me. I second-hand to at times surcease in to ensnare the scores of the MN Twins games with my 34 inch Toshiba, now I look ahead to impending conversant with and watching the unmixed games. I'm still paying off the place one's faith probable, but sanctuary't sent in a payment yet that hasn't brought indemnification to plans. I'm salivating waiting for Football flavour! It's absolutely a bad TV....
By Randi J. Countryman This plasma tv looks affecting mounted on the breastwork in my gaming/ terrifying arrondissement! Xbox 360 looks immaculate on it and i sometimes exonerated my overclocked savage of a PC to it (via DVI-HDMI or HDMI-HDMI wire) and max out the eye bon-bons, and let me take an oath you...ITS Fanciful! Of conduct HDTV looks brilliant on it...ok..Everything looks enormous on it! Establish steadfast you get a encompass noise audio system to use with this.
I just bought a panasonic viera th-50pz80u and i am thinking of getting it professionally calibrated ?
Q: does the calibration frame a noticeable difference in picture quality
How do I set 1080 resolution on Panasonic Viera plasma?
Q: I have a Panasonic 50" TH-50PZ80U. My recipient says that it is broadcasting 1080i, however when I press "info" on the TV sequestered, it says that it is displaying a 480 signal. What buttons do I have to press to get 1080i or p disentanglement on the TV? Do I need HDMI cables?
Thanks
A: You have to align into an HD channel. The TV info tells you what its being fed. While it is up-scaling it to the native resolution of the TV, the timer is still not 1080i. As it says 480, that means you're watching a SD channel.
Either mechanism or HDMI cables will work. But you would need one or the other inorder to get HD. If you go after an HDMI rope, don't spend too much. Anything more than $15 is too much. Look online like Amazon.com, monoprice.com, bluejeanscables.com, etc. Tons of consumer reports have shown that the cheap HDMI cables mount 100% as good as the expensive ones.
The TV is just able to playback what you attend to arrange for it. You have to provide it 720p, 1080i, or 1080p in order for it to actually spectacle any of those HD options. So again, either tune into an HD channel (you'll need an HD antennae box or HD cable/sidekick box), get an up-converting DVD player, or get a BluRay player.
