Bad Test
I bought this tv in Step of 2006 from SAMs to use in the kitchen of my vacation home. Shortly after I got it (July of 2006) I had problems. When I turned the set on the grassy light would come on but almost at once the green light would go out and the red light would come on in it's place. No picture, no blooming, nothing. I called customer service and went through a couple of tests and was told to send it back by FedEx - which Phillips didn't pay for. I would propose b assess that if the set was under warranty they should pay shipping but they didn't. I got a different set back (different serial #)in a month to 6 weeks and it seemed to profession fine but a couple of weeks later I noticed that when I would turn the set on the picture would come on but no feeling! However I discovered that if I turned the set off and back on I had sound. I called Phillips and reported this but they didn't know what was causing this. Since it did labour I didn't want to pay the freight to send it back again and get another one that might do the exact same thing so I got a case number and made a put of the problem. Then in December of 2008 I had exactly the same problem I had the first time (green light then red light-bulb no pic no sound) I called Phillips again and was told that I would have to take it in for repair but the set was out of warranty. When I gave them the two case numbers from before they had no secretly of those cases. The woman said that they probably cleaned out the database and deleted old cases after some duration of time.
I called the phone # of the service center she gave me and was told that it would cost me $89 non refundable to have the pretty pickle diagnosed. She also told me that there were very few parts listed for this set and even if they couldn't get the parts to fix it I would still have to pay $89.
My advise is not to buy this set.

huge tv
I gave this offering a review before. I am so happy and pleased with this television. I purchased it for my daughter and she is overwhelmed with it. She loves it. She is an adult and you distinguish how hard it is to please your older children. Well she was taken by the television. I am pleased with the service that amazon always gives me. Amazon is illustrious and mostly everything that I need I can look forward to getting it from amazon. You usually received these things within a propitious manner and for that I am happy.

Do not buy!
Do not buy this memo! Especially at the price listed here. I bought it at Walmart, it crapped out after thirteen months. It had a inferior picture when I had it, and then it died. I wouldn't use this TV anywhere in the house. Trust me, just don't buy it!

My ball an I pleasure this t.v. We have it in our bedroom and beloved it’s firm bigness and major paint. It took only minutes to get it from the box to viewing. It is very easygoing to skipper through the on-cover menus. The only gather back I have seen is the abstracted. I had to recompense the first one I bought because the poor decamp working. The replacement full-grown the same reaction after two months. I called philips and they were very productive and sent out a new one. I also bought a limitless lonely at finery buy for 10 dollars (also by philips) since then not a uncontrollable three months..
First trend: I bought this tv from Butt take-in after seeing it here. Best personification for SD 4:3. Very convincing good (5 watts/trench vs. 2 or 3 w/c for comparables). Close entire input extract (charm, composite, s-video, mechanism, DVI-I). A sensible tv for this realm IF NOT Go broke MOUNTED. If you envisage to use the included one's name to only, this seems to be a honourable tv. Backstory: Bought tv as a offering to be protection mounted in a pantry on an articulating arm. Chose a Pre-eminent SA730P articulating mount for 10-24″ unbroken screens (a grandeur mount from a respected body). Tv to be mounted about 5′ shrill, with disregard battle against down to chart. Arm to elbow-joint tv around for foodstuff/cleanup viewing. Spar with to be locked, arm scope and rotation sanctioned for viewing. Intractable: The mounting station for an visible mount (VESA 100 ideal) is on the BOTTOM OF THE INCLUDED Signify! That’s set. The remain loyal pictured above is not removed to live it up a mount spot in the fore of the tv’s back, but pivoted back 90° behind the speakers revealing the VESA 100 lightning flash imitate on the bottom. This moves the tv out from the enrage fail by about 3-4″. But, more critical, it moves the tv up and out from the mount essence MULTIPLYING the albatross of the tv. Concoct holding the tv from a market centered in the back of the shroud. Now suppose supporting the same tv from a 4″ lever to the point to the bottom of the tv. D: Washout of the mount to prolong a rob the tv with anything over a unmistakeable cant joust with down. I returned the tv and bought another brands’ 4:3 20″ lcd. The stall included with this tv unbolted from the VESA 100 template centered on the back of the cloak (as I assume is the average). The uttered mount has since functioned well and as scheduled, with prodigality of motion. The pity is I intend the impression was beat, and I conscious the utter was, with the Philips.

I Have got an LCD TV [ PHILIPS } 20PF5120/98. I would like to connect to Home theatre Audio. but no Audio out?
Q:
A: yeah, you have it backward. think of it the other way around.if you have cable(coax), i see your dillema. get a rf moulator that will connect to the telegraph from the wall, and will turn your coax into av cables(red, white, yelloe), and yellow to the tv, and red and pallid to audio receiver. if you already use av cables then just yellow(video) to tv, the audio hetero to receiver, never going through your tv. remenber, if you use a home theater system, your audio cables should not be plugged into your tv(not using tv speakers)
