My Philips 42PF5321D/37 plasma 42" tv goes green on the LED, then blinks red 4 times and will not power up.?

A: That scintillate 4 times is a code that means it needs service. I am not completely secure but I think that code refers to power supply trouble. I don't have the military talents manual which contains the codes. You might be able to find the service manual in a online search.

A: The perseverance is set by the video, the TV simply reports what it is getting. If you are only getting 480i video, proper you are using basic cable. In that case you will need to upgrade to an HD radiogram package.
If you connect an antenna, you should be able to get plenty of 720p and 1080i video from your resident TV stations.

Q: I dont neediness to have to take to a repair shop. It's a model number 42PF5321D/37. Is there any nick you can give? Allmy connections are fine. No picture on any channel, DVD, or any game calm. I've tried everything short of tearing it apart. I've called Philips & they told me to unplug it & promotion it back in. Gotta love tech support. It's flashing pink & other colors off & on.
Should I get it resolute, or just trash it & get a new one. Or is there anything else I can try.
A: exactly take it to a local tv repair shop. It will probably void the warranty but it would be bettor than throwing it out.
