I have the 56″ Samsung released before this one purchased almost 2 years ago. After a year it started turning on and off unconsciously. It took 3 weeks to get a Samsung skilled tech out to my enterprise who couldn’t fix it. Dispatched another technician from another Pty 2 weeks later after employment Samsung and that tech found the incorrigible but had to demand a part. A week later they were back to fix it. Worked for 6 months and same disturbed happened again but now it was out of guarantee. After talking to Samsung succour again, they completely to provide for the part and I had to pay for the utility. Techs came out 2 week later but Samsung sent them the recidivate b fail part. Back again a few life later reputedly with the valid part. Hope they rigged it and payed them $150 then a week later, same hornet's nest again and now the HDMI 1 refuge is out. I bought a Samsung 52″ LCD for my underground store and it seems to be a much control superiors importance than the DLP. My Samsung Blu-Ray worked for 2 weeks and has been to renew twice now. My Sony Blu-Ray works like a champ. I’m now effective to peddle my DLP on Craigslist and go by a Sony. I will never buy another Samsung artifact. Samsung value is not oppressive to Sony’s and Samsung bolster when you call them isn’t bad but thier Outsourced TV improvement companies and Outsourced Renew operations for dispatch-in repairs are also terrific. My dlp has intermittently turned itself off then back on with a droll whining tumult. The other day, it did this but as a substitute for of turning off and on even-handed once it kept turning itself off and on over and over. Connecting Home Theater System?
Q: I have recently purchased the Sony Bravia- DAV-HDX589W- 1000w Domestic Theater System and I am finding it difficult to get everything set up properly. I have followed all of the instructions affirmed, and have noticed good results in the sound; however, I can't get it properly connected between my ps3 or my chain box. This system only has 1 HDMI out port, so the guy at Best Buy told me I needed to purchase a optical digital wire.
I am looking for some detailed instructions so that I can ensure that I have it correct, I will list all of the parts that I currently have so that it will be easier in explaining (i faith). If I need something that I don't have please note and I will purchase. I appreciate your mores and effort in helping me with this matter.

A: Your recipient has no video inputs, so the video output for all of your devices will need to be useful to the video inputs on the TV. It's a pain because you have to change both the TV input for video and the recipient input for audio every time you switch between devices, but it's your only option with this recipient.
Video quality is affected by the cable type, so I will list the video wire options in order of best to worst (you will only need one video bond for each device):
HDMI
Component video (RCA cables color coded red-fresh-blue)
S-video
Composite video (yellow RCA plug)
Coaxial chain/RF video (not to be confused with digital coaxial audio)
HDMI is the pre-eminent for HD video, component will support HD in some situations, and also allows SD widescreen (480p). The unused connections only allow 480i video and will mess up widescreen statistics.
Your home theater receiver only has one input for digital surround audio from an foreign device. Technically you might be able to use that input for two different devices, because there is both a coaxial connector and an optical connector for that one input.
So if the HD cablegram box has digital coaxial audio output, then you could connect it to the receiver's coaxial input with an RCA rope. Then connect the PS3 to the receiver's optical input with an optical cable. The recipient might then automatically switch to use coaxial or optical audio depending on which of the two devices was turned on and outputting audio. Try it and see, you already have an optical chain and should have a spare RCA cable laying around.
If that doesn't work, then you could buy an optical audio rechannel: http://www.google.com/products?q=optical +audio+switch&hl=en&aq=3&oq= optical+ . The HD telegram box and PS3 would be connected to the switch with optical cables (one for each device), then a third optical line is connected from the switch to the receiver. This complicates switching between devices even more, but it will own multiple optical audio connections.
I'm not sure how your Wii will fit into the audio connections, can it output optical audio? There is an analog stereo input (red and anaemic RCA plugs) on the receiver, but it may also be tied into the digital audio inputs (the recipient may consider all audio inputs to be a single input). Again you could try hooking the Wii up to that stereo input and see if the recipient switches automatically to the active source. Otherwise you may need to use the TV to play the Wii audio.
Don't lose to set the PS3 audio output to use the optical cable, and set the audio format over optical to Bitstream (not PCM). That's the only way to get 5.1 surroundings over optical.
Why does my HDMI not sync my surround sound correctly?
Q: I well-founded got Direct TV hooked up to my TV and now my surround sound is not syncing properly with my TV. When I had comcast, I could change to my TV and cable on and the surround sound turned itself on. Same thing when I turned everything off. Now, with DTV, my surroundings sound only turns itself off with everything but I have to use the surround sound remote to turn it on when I balk everything on. I have the DTV plugged into HDMI1 and the surround sound plugged into HDMI2. I have the audio put out red and white cables running from the TV audio output into the AUX1 input on my hem in sound. My TV is a Samsung HL56A650. My surround sound is a Philips HTS3565D. I also cannot get the DTV arcane to recognize the surround sound using any of the Philips codes provided. Is there a improved way to hook things up?
A: You should staple red & white cables directly from cable box to surround sound system ( not from TV ).
