    We sweetie this set
This is a renowned set overall. We have been using it as our main set for the past 4 months and have no issues with it. The main thing is the draw which is super; whether using our satellite, DVD or blue-ray. Sound quality is OK; not great but certainly not bad. We are astonished at how light it is for such a large screen. We have a recessed area in our den for a TV an it fits perfectly in this space - stuffing it completely. It is almost like it was made just for this set.

It takes a while to boot up, maybe 15 seconds or so, but once it is on the display is fantastic. There is a bit of the "rainbow" effect that DLP's are known for but it is not a problem for us and no one who watches the set ever mentions it. This effect is none existent during the day but becomes more prominent as the room gets darker (ie: at night). If you are not familiar with this, it only happens when you QUICKLY look in a different place. If you are watching the set, there is no rainbow at all. We have also noted that there is a BIG difference in picture quality depending on what receiver box it is hooked up to. Our first was a DVR (non-HD) from Directv which was flattering and then that one failed on us, while we were waiting for a replacement we hooked up a standard box from Directv and that picture was terrible. Then the "new" DRV (non-HD) was received and it has a elevated picture. You would think that the same signal would yield the same quality, but we noticed a big variance - go figure.

    PROS:
    - Grand picture. Blue ray is unreal!
    - No motion artifacts / jitter that we saw on LCD or Plasma sets. Even the 240Hz had some of this.
    - Sunlight weight.
    - All screen! Almost zero boarder.
    - Incredible amount of user set up options.
    - 3D ready (although we have no sense with this to share).
    - Fantastic color rendition. Much better than anything else we have seen.
    - Great image penetration.
    - Cost. You will not find anything even close to this set for this price. DLP rocks!

    CONS:
    - Not a flat screen. You won't be hanging this on the enrage fail.
    - Some "rainbow" effect. It does not bother us at all.
    - Best viewed straight on (which is how we use it). Some picture shame to the side.

Some have stated that they hear the light wheel. Ours is dead quiet.
Some have mentioned the "flashing green led". No problem with ours.

Bottom line - if something happened to this set, we would buy it again.

Prophecy !!! DO NOT BUY !!!
I own the foregoing version of this set.
The wd-60735. After only 18 months, the set powered down with a LAMP error.
Replacement of the lamp ($100) revealed that the Counterbalance board (PN 938P127010) was also bad. According to Mitsubishi Parts Dept this part is in stock for $57.60. BUT they cant vend it to me and refered me to Mitsubishi Customer Service (which is POORLY named department).
Mitsubishi CS told me that they only drummer parts to service centers because consumers arent equipt for the repairs.
Despite informing them that before my offer job I spent 15 years repairing TVs and that this board is plug-and-play, they still refused to traffic in me the part.
AFTER 18 months of service from a $1500 TV, THEY SHOULD BE GIVING ME THE PART WITH AN APOLOGY!!!
I will NEVER own another MITSUBISHI product of any warm-hearted.
My case # with them is 2580192.

Fortunately my friends wd-65733 failed 2 weeks before the warranty expired.
Ready I went with this one
...OK virtuous moved so 2 new TVs, I was back and forth on the Mits 60in or 58in Samsung plasma for the living room. I read all the reviews, looked at plasma,LCD...the explanation seemed to easy,I wasn't hanging it on the wall so being 16inches deep didn't matter on my ent module. So I saved $800 and got the Mits..small problem with a LONG wait for delivery, a 37in Panasonic LCD here in a few days..almost 2 weeks for the Mits. OK it showed up, turned it and SWEET...sharp HD picture...sports are almost 3D already...but if I need real 3D, it's ready..set up was pretty straight forward. I am running DirecTV HD, DVD and a VCR, yes a vcr..picture importance on the DirecTV and DVD, not Blu-Ray, excellent..VCR and non-HD channels are poor. This is strictly due to the 60in screen..flaws are a few square inches big, so a badly off picture source is a VERY LARGE poor picture. The same for HD, a VERY LARGE excellent picture. The only fluctuate you may want to make is: push menu, press enter with "Picture" and then press down to "Display Mode" press enter and change to "NATURAL"..it comes preset to "BRIGHT" or "Striking" for store display, a bit to bright for me, almost some distortion when that bright. All the other factory settings are fine to my eye, but you can accommodate oneself to everything and even cancel your screw ups with 1 button push to go back to presets. The DVD and VCR setup was bone simple, if you don't get show or sound or a color picture, check the troubleshooting guide and connections. HDMI cables are genial, older composite connections you may need check the guide and the video cable yellow is now country-like, don't ask me why. The sound is pretty good,I needed to boost the bass a bit, otherwise no problem. I was thinking about a soundbar, or whenever the have a economy decent wireless 7.1 system, but will wait as I am happy with the sound. If you want to save most of a highest and have equal or better picture to plasma, BUY IT. To cover my bases I also bought the 4yr warranty...and still saved $100's..
    Look out of old reviews
The percipience I'm writing this is to WARN everybody reading the other reviews. The Mitsubishi WD-60737 came out inappropriate to mid June 2010. There are many reviews here that were written before that date. Some, at least a year ago. Obviously these reviews should be skim with a grain of salt as they must be for older models, not the one you're going to purchase.

I love this set. Not the best but what do you hope for for the money?
    Wealthiest Bang For Your Buck
This TV has a colossal picture and is 3D ready. DLP is a great value. They're not flat, but at only 15inches at the base, not bulky either. My spouse and I easily carried this TV upstairs. I'm glad we like it because I bought it unseen, since no stores around here transport DLP.

    client beware
I purchased a wl82913 for $15,000 5 years ago. These TV's order a new lamp about once a year. Less than 5 years after selling their 82 inch model mitsubishi give up making lamps. This TV is of no value without a lamp. If you buy mitsubishi just be aware they have stopped in of their even their best TV in the past less than 5 years after selling it.
Are these residents getting paid by Mitsubishi?
I condign received my Mitsubishi WD-65C9 and it will be boxed up and sent back promptly. It has a horrible picture. High def signals from a Lewd Ray are passable but from a cable box they are blurry and have no definition. Any SD signals have extreme noise. Motion is choppy. Colors are off. And the HDMI timer from my Cable box made the TV screen shake. I do not know how anybody can give this TV two stars let alone five. Are these people getting paid by Mitsubishi?
    Difficult with unit
For the first year everything went well but after a year the entity will shut down on it's own. No video,(black screen), no audio. After all the flashing lights stop the module will come back on after hitting the ON switch. Normal operation until it decides to shut down again.

I purchased an extended warrenty and I am accurate glad I did. It started shutting down once a day so after 5 days they had me change the bulb, $150.00. This did not fix the problem. The seek picked it up and kept it for 7 days, cleaned and reinitlized system reset but it would not shut down while in their shop. They brought it back and it worked duly for 1 month then begin to do the same thing. Shuts down daily 1 to 2 times.

The shop picked it up again. It is in the rat on as we speak for 10 days. They say again it will not shut down. They did same as above and brought it back.

Now I am being told that when they unplug the unit to mesmerize it to the shop it is re-booting itself and deleting any fault information. That is the reason it will not duplicate the problem while in the against and also the reason it played for a month after it was returned the first time.

I have 11 more months left on my extended warrenty and I am on tenterhooks what it is going to cost me after it ends.

If I had it to do over I do not think I would buy this unit.
    Terrific TV value
This has been a healthy decision. The picture is excellent. Everybody that sees it says "wow this is great". We are very tickled pink with our choice and our cabinet guy made it look built in.
    Absolutely Gorgeous Picture
I'm one of those those who thought there 'must be something wrong' with the Mitsubishi DLPs because of their relatively low price compared to the LCD & Plasmas. Nonetheless, I in the long run pulled the trigger on a WD65737 bundle deal with stand. First off, the tv is very light...the stand is without even trying heavier than the tv. Using HDMI cables and plugging in my HD-DVR and PS3... I was (and still am) in complete awe at the stunning portrait from this tv. Crystal clear, bright bright colors...absolutely amazing HD display....more advisedly than any LCD or plasma I've seen on display in-store (no exaggeration). The entire market for big-partition TVs is pro-LCD & Plasma because of their thin profile. For a 65" screen, there is no better bang-for-your-buck than the 737 (or 738). Inescapable you can't wall-mount it, but who cares? Most of us have components, game systems, and cable boxes that call for some kind of stand so you aren't really saving any space at all to have a 3" wide tv. This 737 is not vassal exposed to to screen burn-in, and it is 3D-ready and I just read that they are in full-compliance with the new 3D blu-ray standards that were set a couple of weeks ago. Don't be a oaf and pay $3,000 or more for a 65" lcd/plasma, you are just throwing your money away. Also remember that in a body LCD & plasmas will cost twice as much in energy usable than DLP rear projection TVs. I've read other reviews that the TV speakers aren't very decorous but I haven't even used mine because I have a receiver with surround sound. Also, the remote is only average but I all use it for is menu-milieu access and powering the tv on and off so... no big deal. My first movie viewing was 8-Mile (blu-ray) and was simply open-mouthed at the black levels and contrast. If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360, you are in for a mind-blowing experience. Drive someone up the wall 10 looks like a real broadcast, it really is so crystal clear you have to do the 'swing your head, blink your eyes thing'.

    Peerless value
The idea quality and clarity is just super. The overall appearance of the unit is very good eminence. The White glove service was just excellent. I would buy again if I had another purchase of this type.
    Power Supplies went bad
I bought this TV around February of 2009. I have never ordered a prime appliance before on the web. When it arrived it was well packed, and though a little troublesome to get in the house it was OK. Every thing went very well and hooked up surely. When I turned on the unit it was Beautiful. The pictures is sharp and clean, The blue ray video is the overcome I have ever owned. The sound from the tv speakers is OK, not horrible not spectacular, average to maybe a little under. You can examine movies and shows and not be bothered by it but your definitely going to want to have an external receiver system for that theater sense when watching movies.
The reason I gave this set a 3 was, after 7 months it started taking longer and longer to stimulate on. The leds on the front would blink, the set would try to come on then wouldn't. The 3 leds on the front would sequence back to the beginning and then the set would come on. This went on for about 2 weeks until one day they would hardly cycle with no picture ever appearing. I called Samsung and they gave me an rma number and a local shop called me and set up an job. They came out 4 days later and replaced both the Primary and Secondary power supplies. Renewal took around an hour but now the set works great again. A couple of things....I was very disappointed this set had a disastrous failure in under a year and live in fear now that this is a design problem with the set and it will have to be done over and over again. 2nd thing is the repair tech took one look at the set and knew literally what was wrong with it, even brought the parts in before looking at it. This could have been because I described the problem so well I troubleshot it for him or it could be that whenever this model breaks that's the poser indicating a design flaw. Any way, The set has been working great ever since the repair and I am very happy with the picture. If you buy one and don't have any problems with the electronics, You will be very delighted with your purchase.
    Outdo TV Yet!
Bought it when Compass City was closing. Paid $2200 out the door. Knock wood, has been a great TV since day one. Many options, firmware updateable, foul picture, HDMI inputs, great for blueray movies. We don't go to the theatre any more! Only issue is keynoter placement as it has to be turned up to hear when using internal speakers - I think this was designed with well-informed in theatre in mind. What's great about this TV (besides the outstanding picture) is it is has an LED driver - so there are no bulbs to replace!! Adept value!
Win out over value for the size!
I did a lot of research before purchasing. Assay was my main concern. Could not see spending 4K on a plasma TV. Did not want the hassle of a DLP. LED seemed the best choice for me. When I saw this set at Most artistically Buy I could not believe the picture! This thing is huge! Super crisp and bright! I purchased online with extended covenant (just in case) Paid around $1700. Which included free delivery. Factory speakers are clumsy, but considering the price I am super satisfied!!! Did I forget to mention the picture is freaking elephantine! Now I am waiting for the Samsung 73" to be offered in LED. Thanks again Samsung for a great product!!!!

Save that DLP HDTV that beats both Plasma and LCD
This is my right hand Samsung DLP HDTV. I bought it in February, 2009 and still own it. The colors and resolution are better than the previous DLP that I owned (the more rapidly on was based on a color wheel, which after 5 years had to be replaced) - this one is LED based which (in theory) should last longer. I also own a Panasonic Plasma (50") and have compared it with the Plasma side-by-side. The Plasma TV has more enhanced colors whereas the Samsung has more reasonable colors.
I usually watch sports or movies and have not seen any video lag - the close-up deliberation is excellent. I do not use the speakers that are on the TV but have connected the TV to a Yamaha surround sound receiver using HDMI and audio cables - also have a Blu-Ray DVD speculator connected and even when I play regular DVDs they seem to be very sharp. I'm not sure if that is because of the Blu-Ray player or because of the TV.
What I like about the TV in in to the above is that is light enough to be moved by one person. The delivery person was very good - he and his helper unpacked and placed the TV where I wanted it and did a focal test to see that everything was working.
When watching movies, either DVD based or from cable - the HD rendering is excellent - very pointed, blacks are blacks and with very natural colors.
All in all, I would strongly recommended this TV brand - my first Samsung DLP worked impeccably for 5 years before I sold it and this one has worked flawlessly since I bought it in Feb of this year - the build quality rivals that of the other acclaimed Japanese brands with a price that is a fraction of what you will pay for similar plasma or LCD TVs.

    Loyal TV
Outlandish picture. Remote could be better, but serviceable. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Great value as other formats (LCD/Plasma) in this square footage are much mor expensive and don't offer better performance.
We Proper Got This TV & We Are MESMERIZED!
    Unthinkable.

The picture on this TV simply BLOWS AWAY my 2 1080p LCD's!

And the price is simply unbeatable.

My kids played XBOX 360 on it this AM & are now "zombie like" in front of a big.

We don't even have this hooked up / calibrated all the way yet, but colors / sharpness are simply amazing!

And the surround sound is really REALLY good (I have Bose speakers I plan to hook up later...)

Remote on this TV is unquestionably terrible (esp. at first) - although once you actually READ THE MANUAL & test out the buttons, there are definitely a gathering of useful features...

USB input is VERY nice - have already hooked it up to my PC & also run a few slide shows of my digital pictures - Wonderful!

Yes, there are issues with the lamp (which will eventually burn out) - but Mitsubishi made this a pretty simple tape to slip in & out. So, either buy a spare bulb, or purchase an extended warranty (I got 4 yrs. for $99 which covers up to $1500).

TV is inching ever nearer to $1000 & I would look for free shipping...

I dare you to find any other comparable technology, size for that penalty.

And since ours will mostly be used by kids, why pay more?

I mean, a new bulb is like getting a new TV for several more years.

And once they actually get 3D succeeding, there's a slot for converter box & glasses (these sets use DLP, which is what the theaters use, but current standard is checkerboard, so you'll difficulty to spend approx. $300 more for 3D - again, check prices for integrated 3D & tell me you're willing to fork out for THAT!)

I'm also assuming my satellite provider, DirecTV, will eventually come out with a 3D offering & I've heard of no issues with bruited about BluRay's. Again, I'll wait, knowing I have a 3D ready TV.

Only thing that's better is true LED - which, if this baby was part of my "adults only" to the quick theater, bonus room, "man cave" - I might see.

But, it's downstairs in the "kid cave"...where my kids are now...SMILING EAR-TO-EAR!!!
    65" Mitsubishi DLP Journal
Exact replica quality is absolutely fantastic! True colors, good viewing angle, and easygoing set up. I like the unified digital sound output, which feeds all audio inputs out. Official easy single digital audio coaxial cord connection to my Yamaha AV Recipient.

Worst part of TV is explaining to your friends why you just bought a DLP TV. Constant frowns from those inquiring, yet everyone who has seen it is impressed. Terrific Blu Ray images; Avatar video is astounding! Direct TV HD images are very good. Video much better than my old Samsung HD 61" DLP, replaced since it stopped working. Mitsubishi claims that all video images are up-converted to 1080P. Tiny physical size of this 65" Mitsubishi allowed me to fit it in a cabinet that previously was filled by the 61" TV of correspond to physical size. All LCD 65" TV's were too large physically to fit in my space, and picture quality is for all comparable. Well worth having the larger screen size. Note that it is not wall mountable, not significant for my application.

    Big picture..........sometimes
I bought the precursor to this likeness (65732). This DLP TV has a tremendous picture, but the quality and customer service from Mitsubishi are both embarassing. I have replaced the projector rhizome twice in three years, and have had to fight to get the replacement parts, even with the so-called extended warranty. I completely regret buying a Mitsubishi product and will never purchase another item that they manufacture. Stick with Samsung or Sony and fall upon yourself happy. I can understand issues with a product, but I cannot understand a total disregard for the customer after the tag sale. Buy at your own regret, at least after the first year.

A week after the commitment expired my TV died,, no picture. Noticed the bulb was not working so I assumed that was the problem. Had a Samsung authorized affairs stop by and had a new bulb installed but still no picture. Then had the ballast replaced still no picture then had the power equipping replaced and finally there was a picture.Took 2 months to fix it!!
Three months later same problem. Now they contemplate it's the color wheel, who knows? Good lookin TV, Great picture when it works. Comprehensive I'm not happy and give this TV 1 star. No more Samsungs for me.
    DLP
This tv has a terrific represent and is not much thicker than an LCD or Plasma. I don't think you could mount it on a wall but other wise is as good or better than either of the other two types of HDTV. It has the get the better of picture quality I've seen on a tv and I am glad to have it in my living room. I have a PS3 hooked to it from which I play HD games and on one's guard for a ton of BLU-Rays. Lots of input connections and also optical and many RCA outputs.
    Healthy TV, Bad Service
I bought this same paragon TV from BestBuy a year ago, and one of the capacitors blew out after 10 months of use. I contacted BestBuy for the warrenty and they sent out someone to look at it. he had to call Samsung and 2 other technicians none of which could expound what might be wrong before he noticed the bulge on the capacitor. It then took Samsung over 3 weeks to send the new part out.

It was a great tv while it lasted, and i was very advantageous with the performance, but i expected better reliability from a Samsung, and after reading some of the other reviews, i'm not the only one. I'm just hoping that once this part is replaced it'll last longer than it did the first period.
    Excluding HDTV for the money
Could not be happier. Looking speed up to utilizing the 3D option in the future. I paid $887.00 for this TV from 6th Avenue Electronics.
Noteworthy TV, Looks Amazing, Good Price
I've had this TV for about a year now and have had no problems at all. It looks weighty, has lots of inputs, and the built-in speakers sound good. Highly recommended!

Samsung's 61-inch Samsung HL61A750 RPTV gets reviewed -- Engadget HD

You're indubitably dusting the slime from your spectacles as we comment on, but yes, the set you see above is an RPTV . You recognize, those not explicitly wafer-thin cultivate-prognostication TVs that utilized to be all the craze? This 61-inch set provides an hideous lot of filter latitude for not a lot of dough (reasonably speaking), and as with most sets with a trifling scrap in the chest, spit supremacy was seen as "super" in a current

jvc has a rptv that could tarry on the be ruined. the mitsubishi laser sets are close off mountable

but in fact the best part of the populace with lcds and plasmas proper post them on a plain or whatever making the issues with the regions of an rptv absolutely stupid. i contemptible if you are putting it on the same gauge be or board as you would an rptv, then you justifiable weary a lot more affluence on a smaller tv than you would for a bigger higher eminence rptv. id rather worthy image je sais quoi rather than of the oooooooh look how thin that set is.

the laser sets wl only be 10 inch thick for the 1st gen sets and will only get thinner, so comparing the sieze between an ultra thin plasa and lcd ivs rptv is worthless if me and most other population wont be undecided it on the mad.

also if i was pendant a tv on a rampart id get much change one's mind about an rptv on the immure than an lcd/plasa while the lcd plasma can consequence $200+ -400 throb kind for a big partition set 70 inches

the same estimate rptv will manipulate around 75 or less pounds.

Everyone keeps crossing their fingers for a 72" LED DLP from Samsung. Where does everyone get this illusory from? I myself am set on buying a set like this, but I'd be bummed to bachelor girl out on any fair deals HOPING Samsung continues to cash the fad of other TV manufacturers and unchain different DLPs next year. Although I'd like to see it, I don't call to mind a consider its undoubtedly to betide. They requisite to move CES BEFORE Xmas, should be man-law. Anybody talk to a Samsung rep at CES or nearly the same to surge any highlight reveal on Samsung's time to come plans for DLP?

Is the Samsung DLP hl61a750 Worth buying...is the viewing angle really that bad?

Q: I am looking into buying a TV this weekend. We would like a friendly sized screen but not to spend a arm and a leg on it. I notice a lot of good reviews about the Samsung DLP which uses LED's vs bulbs so the lifespan is much greater. But the down side is the considering angle. How bad are viewing angles for DLP's?

    Samsung's 61-inch Samsung HL61A750 need help?

Q: i bought a Samsung's 61-inch Samsung HL61A750 yesterday i tried it today and for some insight every once in a while the tv would turn off but i can still see the leds flashing and a black screen to make it line again i would have to unplug it for a couple of min how can i fix this problem

A: This is a low-grade warranty issue. Don't wait to call. The repair guys want 2 weeks notice. If they vacillate too long, take it back to the store if they have a return policy. Your new tv should work perfectly..

Is there a way to get my samsung hl 61a750 to go from 60htz to 120 htz. If so How?

Q: I recently purchased a samsung dlp hl61a750 paragon, only because it was advertised for 120 htz. however i only see it display in 60 htz. how can i get it to display in 120 htz.

A: If you see 60 Hz when you compress info or display, this is the INPUT rate. The TV should always display in 120 hz way. You probably can control whether you want "frame repeat" or interpolation via the envisage menu - I am sure Samsung uses a more fancy marketing name , but the sentiment is the same.
