Samsung's DNIe™ Samsung's DNIe™ (click for protest march) technology offers digital perfection in naturally presented, crystal-clear images that uncover even the most journal detail.
Motion Optimizer: The visual data are automatically broken down into signal and noise and adjusted through a mutual spatial/temporal process to eliminate noise and blurring without the slightest damage to the primordial signal. This guarantees the viewer a picture of astounding sharpness, whether the scene is still or moving.
Contrast Enhancer: DNIe has done somewhere else with the unwanted side-effects that conventional contrast enhancement can produce, such as noise boost-up and shimmer by developing an algorithm that recognizes over 1 million criteria for applying contrast. Its detail contrast improvement technology can automatically analyze up to 70,000 local images within a frame, treating the viewer to a spit rich in contrast even in the tiniest details.
Color optimizer: For each scene the color optimizer calculates the saturation of red, immature, and blue in the input signal and adjusts it to the shades that the human eye accepts as natural. Even a agreed process like white tone enhancement produces more striking results when when habituated to with DNIe. The end result is a palette of vivid hues and pure white tones to slake the most discerning viewers eye.
Detail enhancer: Many viewers complain of the unnatural effect that conventional regalia detail enhancement produces by relying on artificial amplification of the input signal. In contrast, DNIe intuitively analyzes the portion to be amplified, detecting and re-processing any noise or defect to bring the viewer a startlingly piercing and lifelike image.
DLP (which stands for Digital Light Processing) uses an optical semiconductor to recreate rise material with a fidelity analog systems can't match. While other technologies lose a certain amount of light-bulb in transit, the microscopic mirrors in a DLP projection system bring more light from lamp to screen. It also features gamester color uniformity over time--no burn-in, screen aging or color-shifting admissible. It's the leading display technology for products like small portable conference dwell projectors and professional venue entertainment systems.
This Samsung DLP television employs a Texas Instruments DLP piece that is comprised of millions of microscopic mirrors. The DLP chip is faster than any HDTV technology, with the mirrors switching on and off 15,000 times a approve of to deliver a razor-sharp picture for fast moving images. It also offers Samsung's Show Smooth 720p light engine, which creates an image with no visible pixel character and accurate shading and better low-light detail for the most film-like picture. You'll get up to a 2500:1 juxtapose ratio with outstanding colors and deep black levels.
The Samsung Digital Natural Idea engine (DNIe) Video Enhancer refines all analog NTSC and wideband video inputs for an all-embracing improvement in picture quality. DNIe improves contrast, white level, paint detail and incorporates digital noise reduction to improve lower quality video inputs. The 3-postcard digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, imagine width, and picture changes-over-time to dramatically reduce edge image artifacts while improving evolution detail. Samsung's Cinema Smooth 3:2 pull-down film mode corrects for the artificial frames created when films are converted to DVDs. The d is a clearer image without the subtle motion artifacts caused by 24-to-30 frames per younger video conversion.
Samsung's 2.6-inch color wheel spins at 14,400 rpm for regular, fast motion video, and has five color segments for more accurate colors. It achieves veil-like transitions without pixel breakup found in slower color wheel designs and slower switching LCD microdisplays. Air Aspect technology also makes it whisper quiet.
Samsung also worked closely with Microsoft to create a faithful Game Mode that optimizes image quality, sound and response time for more graphic video game play--with just a single touch of a button. The Game Trend enhances dark areas, sharpens the picture, speeds up the image processing reaction and enhances the sounds of your games.

Dialog Clarity brings movie dialog into ÒblurredÓ during the playback of any surround-encoded material to make speech much clearer and crisper.
TruBass creates impossible deep rich bass allowing a person to perceive significantly deeper, richer low bass tones that are far beyond the sawbones low frequency capabilities of the speaker itself.
The SRS WOW feature widens the soundstage by processing standard two-pass stereo material as well as multi-channel encoded material for a dramatic improvement in the playback of any stereo audio over a two-lecturer system.
Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides divide connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for feel ashamed information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video advert) connections. Samsung HL-S5686W 56-Inch DLP HDTV
By William D. Turnipseed I purchased a Samsung goggle-box about eighteen months ago. Two weeks ago the illustration became all fuzzy. Since my video receiver assurance was through Compass Diocese I had no option but to call a tube fix up personally out to look at it. As in a minute as he walked in the entrance way he knew what the fight was. He told me that the part would fetch almost as much as the tube and that his support was to flummox in a different place the boob tube and securing another one. After doing some inspection I discovered that there were indubitably a few Samsung televisions that were common out and that the parts were on backorder for about a month. Samsung was also not utilitarian. I troublesome to thrash out this with SamsungTweets on Agitation, but he clogged me when I asked why nobody called me like he said they would. The only other rebuttal I got from Samsung was that I needed to take it to a assistance fore; this is after I told them that a box patch human being had looked at it. From what I can tick off from looking on tube working order forums, Samsung televisions look to be euphonious flakey.
By Adipolle (Austin, TX) Our 56 inch Samsung DLP TV worked good for a year and then hardly become absolutely treacherous and shuts off every day. Found a dozen forums with complaints about Samsung DLP's-remain somewhere else from Samsung DLP's. TV keeps shutting off every team a few of hours. Worst $1700 I ever emit-buy LCD's or Plasma. I bought a 42" LCD(Magnavox) 2 years ago-not one cull facer-ad lib Xbox 360 on it every day.
I bought this TV in February '07, when amazon had it on selling for $1,250 with unfasten shipping. What an stunning sell. Since we got this TV (which dwarfs the 30" CRT that reach-me-down to be our living cubicle quarters TV, but now lives in the bedroom), we've been watching everything from type def to HD to tons of DVD's -- upscaled by our Sony upscaling jock (also large, it remembers the set of the last 6 DVD's and movied played on it through HDMI look wonderful). My Samsung HL-S5686W DLP set keeps shutting off. - CNET Samsung Forums
My set is unprejudiced under 3 years old. Within the last yoke of weeks it will irregularly shut out off by itself. When this happens I commentary warn the "Standby/Temp" and "Lamp" for lights will beam simultaneously.
Yesterday it sealed up off after being on for 2 hours, then hide off twice more within an hour and a partly. Then it ran for 2 hours without shutting off.
Any point what is causing this? I have not replaced the lamp yet but figured it may be getting convenience life so I ordered one this week and will supersede it when it comes in. Could this (expectedly) be the conundrum?
jbruner123,
You might try reseating the lamp - in some cases, this fixes the end. You can find instructions by either browsing the forums in the search bar, or we also have a video now that shows you how to succeed the lamp. In place of of replacing the lamp, valid pulling it out and pushing it back in sometimes does the cantrip.
Here is that video (I be aware it's the improper image issue on the verso, but the video middle down is where you miss to go): http://tinyurl.com/dz8e2g
Keep me posted.

jbruner123,
Conjunction the players where you purchased the rhizome and clarify the conclusion. A new lamp should be noticably brighter than the one you're replacing it, so why it isn't, I can't say for unfaltering. But if it was me, I'd inquire about an return for a incandescent lamp.
Your differ and joyfulness settings as you describle should be oversaturated and washing out the advise fully; undeniably not "feather of dim".

I as a matter of fact took the new lamp and re-seated it and it is working much sick now. I have my jollity on 75 and it looks elegant and the tv doesn't bar off anymore. I deem it scarcely wasn't making belongings in at first. It's affable of tough to clinch how rugged to push the lamp in because there isn't any benevolent of unconcealed click to let you grasp it is in all the way.
i was wondering if i can connect my hp laptop to my samsung HL-S5686W using an hdmi cable?
Q: i purchased a samsung HL-S5686W from a beau of mine and am trying to connect my laptop that has a blu ray player. i have been trying to connect with a hdmi Mailgram and my tv just says no signal. does anyone know if i can do it or not, and if its possible how can i do it.
i am skilful to connect it to a diffrent tv using an hdmi cable. is there something else that i can do
A: Go into your direction panel and access your video display icon...
Look in there and see if there is HDMI efficiency button or box that isn't activated...if so, activate it.
My Samsung HL-S5686W turns off by itself after a few hours of viewing. Is it running too hot?
Q:
A: I misgiving it....most likely the lamp has become intermittant..
The TV will run for a while, then the picture goes deathly, then reappears after a minute or two, then goes black again....then it might run fine for several hours before the stage up again.....
That's why its "Intermittant". It decides to die whenever it feels like it.
I'd prepared a new lamp for it.....look in your instruction book, it should have the lamp part million and a toll free number to call and buy one.
BUT....if you look on the LEFT side of the TV set, you should find a highlighted sticker with a lamp number on it....something like BP96-01472 or BP96-0224c ...that's your lamp. Penitent, they don't put the 800 number on the TV, you'll have to find that in your instructions.
I am planning to buy either Sony KDFE55A20 or Samsung HL-S5686w. Which one is better one?
Q:
A: take sony, its far more ameliorate than samsung.
