Inconsequential Choice
Buying this TV was a nightmare! I ordered this TV and the vendor (not amazon.com) that sold it to me sent me a Weird TV! Hoping I would be stupid enough not to notice! I reviewed the other TV he sent me and after alot of thought decided to keep it (was ceaseless out of time to get a TV for my parents for Xmas) and when we opened it and turned it on, the volume was defective! I returned it to the vendor and he said I would get esteem minus shipping and restocking! I told him it was defective and he said it was not! I told him to plug it in himself and see! I am secure he knew it was and bought it at a discount and then tryed to sell it to me hoping I would not notice! WHAT A CROOK! I was favourable that amazon.com credit card did take care of the shipping and restocking for me, but I told Amazon.com that the vendor that sold it to me was a crook!!!! I consider the Sharp Aquos is a good TV, but I never got to see it! So beware of what you actually get vs what you order!

Good fair, Picture good
The epitome quality is great on HD, but the sound is only fair. The audio comes out of small speakers incisive down out the bottom. The result is a "tin" sound. The volume has to be turned up fairly loud to hear it. The only audio out is via optical radiogram, so to hook it up to an external speaker would require an AV receiver. I don't want to do this since I bought the TV for the kitchen and I destitution to minimize the space. So everything is a tradeoff. I got a reasonbly decent picture and compromised on sound and got an HDTV that doesn't take much lapse at all.
The small kitchen remote is neat the way it fits in the small indentation of the base. Its very close at hand for turning it on and off and volume controls. You can also channel up and down, but that is a tedious way to find your channel. For that they have the regular remote which we hand down on the table. Two remotes is nice. The full size remote allows you to program up to four favorite channels--also a enjoyably feature.
One last feature on the picture. The full size remote allows you to cycle through 4 preset AV modes such as flick picture show, game, user defined, and dynamic. While this is nice, I haven't found one setting that seems to be best for all my viewing. Some shows are too mysterious on one setting, so I have to change it to another, then change it back for another show.
I wanted a 19" HDTV capable of receiving up to 1080i. This will poleax the signal to 760, but at least it can handle it. This and a Toshiba model were the only ones I found that I thought could do it.

The Sharp Aquos 19" HDTV
Trap was fairly easy. We use it in the kitchen. You must rotate the stand to rotate the TV ... a slight damage in this environment. The picture is fine, but the sound is strangely inadequate. We have to keep it a the max setting all the time.

Weighty TV!!
i got this tv back in christmas 2008, it is still prevalent strong, sharp is an amazing brand, you will be very happy with this tv, the speakers are pretty good, if you want raise sound, hook up a theater system, works great for xbox 360/computer monitor, we have had zero problems with this tv, havent had to call tech buttress. i am now looking into buying a 32" inch sharp aquos television, because i love this brand, Keep It Up Sharp!!!

Opportune small TV/Monitor
I've owned my Sharp LC19SK24U for almost 2 years and employed it primarily for a PC monitor at first and now it is a 2nd TV. I bought it on sale for about $230 in Nov 2007, which was about the same price as a stand-alone PC keep an eye on at the time. As a PC monitor, it has an acceptable picture... nothing great.
What I love is being able to swop to the TV with a simple button click on the main remote. (There are 2 remotes.) This saved me from buying a TV tuner for my PC. All you have to do is fix a video cable to it and you're all set. The TV picture is adequate, but not exceptional. Obviously, you can't be too far away from a 19-inch paravent to see, but if you do watch from across a room, the tiny speakers must be turned up to max, which isn't very loud at all. There is some distortion at higher levels, which is expected from a teeny TV. However, if you want better sound, hook auxiliary speakers to the rear jacks. There is a discriminative feature that automatically adjusts the brightness according to the ambient light in the room, which is at the ready at night.
There are 2 remotes. One full-featured one and a small basic one that magnetically attaches to the base, (or your refrigerator for that proceeding if you use it in the kitchen.) The basic remote has a built-in LCD clock & timer, on/off, volume and channel up/down. There are two sets of input RCAs on the back, S-video, HDMI, an analog PC jack, and a short ?mm headphone jack.
Overall, it's a good small TV.
