Sharp Aquos LC19D45U
If it has AQUOS on the front, you can't go the matter. I bought this TV to mount on the wall in the bathroom where I can soak in the tub and watch my favorite programs or pin the news while preparing for work but could have used this TV anywhere in the home. The picture is amazingly sharp and vivid. Sharpe Manufacturing makes their TV'S to show in both analog and digital broadcast without having to adjust anything to do so. The TV knows what to do with either signal and without having to pay accessory to the cable provider for digital service. The TV arrived on time in perfect adapt from Focus Electronics and Appliances through Amazon and I could not be more happy with all involved. Thank You!

Representation's great, Sound's terrible
The buy is terrific. The artwork quality is also great but the sound is minimal. I'll have to get some speakers. Very easy to use.

Grerat for the Larder or Bath!
I bought this TV 2 years age on coloured friday when circuit city had it 1/2 off for $200. I have it in the kitchen hooked to a surround perspicacious system. I love it! There are 2 remotes, 1 magnetized to stick to the fridge with a timer and clock. and another quarterly remote. I am going to buy another one for the master bath. Great tv!

Hysteria the bill
This is a significant TV for close up viewing. Fits in our kitchen area just right. Dose'nt have the most suitable backlite so some channel programs don't show up very good but the sharpness and color are great. If the backlite were bigger, I'd say you could'nt buy a better 19" TV. I also have a 26" Sharp so I can compare. The Sharp Aquos is with out a doubt of better quality, no way you could call it junkie.The subsidiary remote is nice but we dont use it very much. Sound is good and there are more then enough inputs. The manual makes sting and operation of the TV easy. Ordering from Amazon was easy and shipping was quick. The price was speedily so I would give this TV 5 stars except for the backlite.

Very trivial audio
The very substandard audio output from this TV is in Sharp (pun intended) contrast to the picture quality, fit and finish. I normally on one's guard for my small TV while seated at my dining table. The TV is on the table. With factory settings, the maximum audio generate is so low it is below my normal listening volume when I am seated across from it. Audio output was totally useless when viewed from my pantry area while cooking and cleaning up.
I opened the settings menu and boosted the treble and bass to their upper limit settings to boost audio output. That helped a little but the output is still below acceptable limits by a lot. I should not have to obey to the TV at the maximum volume setting of 60. I do not listen loud and I am not hard of hearing.
Sharp used up more money and attention to the kitchen timer/clock remote than they did to audio output and they did not even subsume RCA audio outputs so the TV could be connected to an external analog amplifier or preamplifier. I also have a 46" Sharp Aquos LC-46D62U and the audio crop is equally dismal. I get around that by watching it through my stereo system. Apparently many (maybe all) Sharp TVs are lacking in audio demeanour. I will never buy another Sharp product.
This television is stunning appearance but tragically flawed. Don't be fooled by a pretty mush.

Ok, but slipping away after only 3 years
I have had this tv for 3 years now and its on its last leg. The paint quality is good but other things are going out on it. The remote will not turn on the tv now, you have to turn off the main power knob the turn it back on then push the side power button for it to come on. Then you have to wait for several minutes before you can adjust the size. Also the screen is getting dark swirls on the left side. If I were to do it again I would not get this TV.
The Dvd player is not a very good one, I use another player and dont us the built in one very much at all. Representation quality is good, except for the black swirles. Sound is bad, so use different speakers.
This set is ready to die after only three years of use. What happened to the generation where one could count on their TV to last between 10-20 years?

Akai TV Sucks
This break down of junk lasted 2.5 years. After about a year the screen quality degraded with coal-black smears in various places. At 2.5 years it quit working completely. Since I paid about $750 for the chiding of junk that's a cost of $300/year. What a deal.

For the reward... great
I've had the TV for about a year and a half or more. The DVD performer never worked from day one, so I'm not judging by that, I have an Up-Converter with HDMI anyways. But the TV is great. Picture quality is exceptional, shows in 1080i (I have the 32 in), has HDMI input, and HD component cable input. My beefs with it are that it will randomly scourge between mono and stereo sound, and I have yet a way to figure out how to make it stop. After about 9 months, you could here a small crackle in the echo every once in a while. And now, there is a dead/dying pixel. But honestly, for the price I paid for a 32 in HDTV.... prodigious.
ps. The Start up takes a long time..

Able TV as well as wonderful computer monitor
I've had this Akai 27" for over 1 1/2 years now, so my study is based on extensive use and long past the factory warranty.
It's just as good as described by all the auspicious customers who've posted their comments here.
I don't know what to add, except that after 20 months it's still going strong.
The DVD jock works fine, except of course it's not as good quality as the more recent DVD players that have come out during the nearby year. Still, the convenience is wonderful, and the quality is as good as anything I've been watching for the past five years on DVD.
My only grumble would be that the sound cannot be turned up to a loud volume: small room volume only.
This TV/monitor is being acclimated to about 8 hours every day, and I could not be more pleased.

Don't buy! Take care!
My squelch and I bought the 32" version of this tv and everything was fine until 16 months after we bought it. One night the set forth suddenly went screwy and then to the snowy fuzz screen. The whole time it sent off this weighty pitch noise that was deafening! We tried turning it off with the remote and with the buttons on the side of the television, but nothing worked except to swop the breaker off. When we tried turning it back on nothing would work. After working with it for 2 hrs my husband was able to get it to come on, but within a thing of minutes it would freak out and nothing would work again. My husband went online to see if there was someone that had the same problem and maybe had a discovery for it. Instead he found a LOT of people with the same problem and a $300 solution from a technician. It seems everyone's television started having problems solely months after the manufacturer's warranty expired.
Of course when our problem started the manufacturer's promise had also expired, so we took it back to the store. We were lucky and got our money back because it was a reputable store and I think they were blushing that they sold such a crappy television.
But my advice to anyone considering this television is to save yourself the trouble and get a type you know and trust and one that works!

It was awful until the backlight burned out.
The backlight on the VA26L lasted 1 year and 3 months. Perchance it was a fluke, but I won't be buying a Vizio again. Up until that point, the TV worked well.

Intimate TV for the money
We have in use accustomed to this TV for months without any problem whatsoever. The picture is really great.
I was lucky to be able to win this TV at Sam's for $340 new.

Matchless Price for a Really Good TV
Bought this at a deduction store for less than listed here.
Use it as a computer monitor, ps3 gaming and some tv watching.
Picture is clean, sharp with vivid colors. 2 hdmi ports is outstanding.
Some problems with my mac mini using dvi to hdmi cable-can't get screen sized properly, so I went with VGA. It looks fearsome during video playback.
Speakers are loud and sound quality is decent for the size of the speakers.

Straitened TV - Poor Customer Service
I would not exhort this TV. I've owned it less than 4 months and the power will not turn on. The store won't take it back because it's over 90 days and VIZIO is making me pay to have it shipped out to get it arranged - (over $50 plus insurance). IF it was a 32" instead of 26" they would pay for a technician to contract out -- it took e two phone calls and three hours to get a customer rep to help me out. Their customer assignment was poor. It's the first TV I've owned that has broke prior to 10-14 years. It broke within 4 months - tatty!
