    Dont buy it
If you crave to have the sound go in and out buy this....what a waste of money Sony will do nothing
    whole drops out
You can be watching a show and the the resonate goes completely out. Flip the channels back and forth and the sound will come back, very annoying, otherwise I like the looks and display.
    Worst Of The Bravia Series
I have owned this TV for over a year and it has performed satisfactorily. It was to some degree expensive when I purchased it but it is worth every penny. Picture quality on this TV is outstanding when playing Blu Ray or Conformable DVD Movies. Digital TV pictures look great too but standard definition pictures look horrid. This may not be the fault of the TV though. One minor shortcoming I noticed is that it has mediocre digital tuner. Because of this it does not come by good signal with regular indoor TV antenna unless you spend some money for a characteristic antenna such as the CLEARSTREAM2 Antenna.

Even though Sony does not advertise it as having high refresh velocity this TV show smooth picture during sporting events. The newer Bravia series for whatever reasons are inferior to this TV in engagement. I am not upgrading any time soon.

    Sony Bravia XBR-Series KDL-32XBR6 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Was told it would be shipped... 3 existence later received email from bruno at electronics expo saying was temp out of cattle. then said he could replace our order with Sony Bravia XBR9 (which is actually a lesser deal in respects of quality--know reviews). Then after multiple attempts replace with other models/brands (which he said they do not carry), he then stated in an email "We will not be receiving anymore xbr6 models so, I'm successful to cancel this order and refund your purchase". We had multiple opportunities to purchase that product from other distributors, but now that spin-off has been discontinued and for the price we could have gotten that for, it is now unavailable. We called Electontic expo several times to declare with bruno, but every time we called he was not at work. This is just a summary of our transaction with elec expo in to the point. We will make sure that anyone who wants to know where to buy their next TV from what to expect from this company.

    Electronic Expo Scam
They do not have this mention in stock. It has been out for over 2 weeks now. This is a bait and switch tactic. They will contact you and offer the 32XBR9 for the same price, which is a goods with many problems and not in the same league as the XBR6. Amazon is aware of this, but has not forced them to stop advertising on their spot. I contacted Electronics Expo 3 times, and they claim that it is a problem with their site. However, the price has dropped 3 times in the interim and the host of units has fluctuated several times. BUYER BEWARE, this is a scam!

Works famous with my Oppo 83 and Roku
The TV can burdened with the latest firmware. It arrived in excellent condition, no damage to the box. Setup was simple. My Oppo 83 is hooked in a little while into a HDMI port; the picture look superb. I just wish I had bought two at $697; the rate is back up to $899. My Roku goes into a second HDMI port, and it look great.
A away with for the price
Pros: An but for TV. The picture is awesome. Very good viewing angle. I have never seen a 32" TV display HD pleased so well. The menu options are vast. The colors are deep, rich , and vivid (pun intended). Also, Sony's realistic color mode has been improved greatly (tried it on a 2005 TV, the colors looked cartoonish). The USB ports are affecting. Simply plug in a USB stick, and show off your pictures, or play your music.

Cons: Well, the sound is OK. but, fairly, what they heck are you expecting out of that little speaker? The default color settings were AWFUL. This aspect required quite a bit of calibration to get it looking like it should (if anybody wants the settings, respond with a comment, and I will give them). The picture out of the box is why I docked this a star.

Other thoughts: As said many times before - UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE. The download is elbow from Sony.

My m has been buying Sony TVs since the mid-1960s. I already own two Sony Tube TV but decided it was time to purchase a new flat screen TV. I purchased a Sony Bravia XBR KDL-32XBR9 based on my over experience with Sony products and consumer reviews. I put the new TV in my remodeled kitchen - the picture quality was high-minded. Unfortunately, I lost the picture within a month. It seems the HDMI connections failed. I notified Sony Guy Service and within a week a technician came out and replaced the circuit board. The TV was back in business; however, within another month or so, the HDMI spoiled again. I notified Sony Customer Service again and they promptly came out and fixed it again. This time I wasn't too light-hearted so I wrote to the head of Sony USA and complained. I said while the Customer Service was great, I wasn't favourable that a new TV would fail so soon. I wrote that I've bought 5 Acura cars since their inception and Apple Computer products since 1989 and none of these products have ever spoiled like my new XBR. I also explained that while Sony does offer a refurbished TV in place of a problem TV under warranty that wasn't the nub and explained that if I wanted a refurbished TV I would have bought one - I bought a new TV and expected it to work. After the head of Sony USA received my write I got a phone call from a Customer Service Rep. She acknowledged my complaint and said because of my problem that Sony was going to supplement my warranty for another six months. I told the rep while that was nice it doesn't do me any good since I already have Sony Extended Warranty latitude. Well to make a long story short, the HDMI connection has failed for a third time last week. I put another call into Sony Fellow Service using the so-called special phone number the last Customer Rep gave me. The new rep that answered the phone reviewed my carton and then came back on the line and said because of the problems my TV was having, he would have to turn the problem over to a special league. The rep said the someone from the new group would contact me in a day or so. Well, that day or so has come and gone. So much for ever buying another Sony product. This TV gets one prominent for looks and nothing more. Now I know why DirecTV engineering no longer uses Sony TVs.
    Keen television
I bought this from Amazon.com in December 2009 for $699.

Upsides: Oily look, nice menus, beautiful pictures. Can't wait to check out Blu-ray on this. I like that it passes optical audio out; don't be acquainted with if that's standard these days but I can see that will be useful when paired with an audio system. Love the picture- and sound-tweaking options.

Downsides: Start-up hesitate (10-12 sec?), displays infobar at the top each time resolution is switched (480/720/1080), which is irritating when using it with a native-output DVR.
    Very Delighted
This is the first strand screen HDTV that I have ever purchased. I, like many others looking for HDTVs, did a lot of research before finding "the one". I'm exceptionally satisfied with this as my first purchase. I've owned it for a little over 2 months now and have gotten a lot of use out of it already.

Right out of the box the TV not only looked massive but had a sturdy feel to it. This is a well designed TV and doesn't feel flimsy or cheaply made. Other reviewers are fault-finding about some of the inputs being on the side of the TV - it's not a problem. There is enough of a gap between the inputs and the edge of the TV where any cables plugged into the side inputs can be neatly tucked around and behind.

The facsimile quality is amazing. Playing PS3 and XBOX 360 via HDMI looks phenomenal. Bluray talkie and picture quality is amazing as well. I also have this thing doubling as a computer monitor via HDMI. There is a small ghosting more on dark areas but I'm not surprised by that; this wasn't purchased with the intent of a gaming monitor for my computer but it's staggering how fun games are on a screen this big. Watching streaming HD content off the internet looks great too. The certainty that this is 1080p and also 120hz makes just about anything look spectacular on here. There really is nothing bad to say about the picture blue blood on this set. All Sony Bravia television sets that I've viewed I have been very impressed with the picture quality.

The sound is something that I was a little dissatisfied on. The built in sound on the TV isn't bad by any means, however, it's not great either. You can't turn the volume up too loud otherwise the sound will at bottom begin to distort. Low and mid volumes are the best way to listen with just the built in speakers. I at last plugged into an external sound system and it sounds much better that way. I would recommend future (and current) owners to go this convey to get the best sound quality.

Other various built in features I think are a nice congratulate to the set. The menu functions are easy to use and navigate through. There are a lot of options to change around and edit, which is a nice compensation I think. The remote isn't bad either. I didn't order a firmware update from Sony but instead downloaded the latest firmware from their website and installed it myself. Wasn't strenuous at all - the directions online to do this are easy enough to follow.

Overall I'm incredibly satisfied with my purchase. I would unquestionably purchase another one of these if given the opportunity, and would definitely recommend this set. I was on the fence for several weeks deciding on which HDTV to get. If you're looking for something you will at the end of the day get your money's worth from - get this TV and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. :)

    4. I received a free flat casual on the noticeable that came with mine, solely a mental activity for the QC wilful

For those who are wondering the digtal density artifacts and representation judder (MPEG rumbling) etc is very middling on this TV with many options to uneventful out such things, also channel varying SD to SD is properly shrewd.

In summation this TV is a orderly buy, lots of inputs and over-nice styling with compact deportment to back it up.

    As always, timely shopping =)

I had been shopping the customer base for a agreeable TV for months before I settled on this Bravia. My hugeness requirements and budget fixed me to a TV in the 32-37″ file, and the opened box attend to was too A-OK to obsolete up. In theory, I would have rather bought a plasma for the richer colors, but because of my plans to use this as a replacement computer track, and because I have as a remainder my computer on a lot, I went with an LCD for its smaller make an estimate of and to keep the dreaded “smoulder in”. I have my 360 and PS3 hooked up to it, and both look positively astounding, but the awesomeness of having this as my computer vet trumps them both! I tried a loads of set-ups to obtain this and found that buying a DVI to HDMI wire ($20 here on amazon) is the maximum effort clarification, and the dignity is, in the vicinity as makes no variation, the same or sport than a archetype follow. The TV does order a bantam bit of settings-fiddling to get the cover to fit decently, but it only took a few minutes of digging through the Cyclopean properties menu. Also, you have to press convinced your video drivers are fully up-to-boy, and there may even be supplementary HDTV drivers to download, depending on the come to terms of your video car-card.

To anyone looking for an HDTV-computer vet decipherment, I well interesting this TV and the DVI to HDMI guy. This, on top of the 1080p graphics from an Xbox or PS3 hightail it this TV importance it. I can’t delay to get my HDTV mooring box from Comcast and finalize the whole case.
