| With clean lines and styling, Bravia TVs look tickety-boo in any room, either on a stand or mounted on the wall. |
|
| BRAVIA televisions’ new Super-Patterned Vertical Alignment (S-PVA) panels separate pixels into more segments than was possible with PVA (Pattered Vertically Aligned) technology. These segments have an incredibly swift 8-millisecond response time that increases the television’s refresh rate. Dividing the pixel unfold into more segments also allows a cleaner break between dark and light pixels, improving viewing angles, flush, and contrast. |
The KDL40S2000 has a 1366 x 768-pixel word of honour, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, 178-degree viewing angle, and 1300:1 comparison ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle go red in the face details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) The Cinemotion 3:2 pulldown show video processing detects and compensates film--which is shot at 24 frames per lieutenant (fps) compared with video's 30 fps rate--to video for a smooth theaterlike experience at internal. The 3D digital comb filter offers 10-bit signal processing that renders striking gradation of grays, resulting in superior picture detail.

Tech Talk
HDMI is a lossless, uncompressed, all-digital audio/video interface to bond any audio/video source (such as a set-top box, DVD player, or AV receiver) with your TV--all over a single cable. HDMI supports guideline, enhanced or high definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a unwed cable. It supports all ATSC formats--standard (SDTV), enhanced (EDTV), and strident (HDTV).
Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides type connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for go red information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video clog) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.
TruSurround XT audio adds three new audio improvement technologies to produce an amazingly immersive sound experience.
- Dialog Clarity brings large screen dialog into Focus during the playback of any surround-encoded material to make speech much clearer and crisper.
- TruBass creates unrealistic deep rich bass allowing a person to perceive significantly deeper, richer low bass tones that are far beyond the carnal low frequency capabilities of the speaker itself.
- The SRS WOW feature widens the soundstage by processing standard two-trough stereo material as well as multi-channel encoded material for a dramatic improvement in the playback of any stereo audio over a two-lecturer system.

Customer Reviews
TV skint within 2 yearsWe purchased this TV and were very timely with it, then we started getting blue spots in the corners, which developed into blue rectangles in the discount corners, which got bigger and now are red rectangles in both lower corners that take up 1/3 of the screen - very annoying.
Had a restoration man out, who spent many hours with Sony and the best they could do is to replace the screen for only $1000.00 which is almost what we paid for the TV. We still use the TV until we can afford to get rid of it, but now it is getting blurry pictures as well.
Playing rock band on the TV, you can't read the words.
40in Sony Bravia
I angel this TV! The picture is very clear and the colors are "normal". Not being a "geek" or a "young person" it was wonderful that the instructions were so effortless to follow and do!
Illusive television
I have had the Bravia since the Topple of 2006. I have never seen a better picture, even on a plasma. They had all of the flat panels lined up side by side and the riddle turned at a 45 degree angle. This way I could stand at the end of the aisle and could see the picture on a dozen TVs at the same leisure. The Bravia was head and shoulders above all others. It's light, has a small footprint, and is incredibly easy to set up. All of my guests have commented about the image quality, and my brother is set to go buy a Bravia for himself. You won't be disappointed!
In reduced circumstances Sony Customer Service
I purchased this TV in Sept'06. The TV worked extraordinary. Unfortunately, there was a clicking noise from the TV. So, I called Sony and they asked to me to contact "Advanced Electronics" (in San Diego), one of their authorized usefulness centers. The "Advanced Electronics" probably has the most incompetent technicians in the planet. Added to their faultiness is their extremely rude customer service. They had my TV for over 6 weeks, and when they finally returned the TV, the problem still persisted. I called them again and they sent someone abode to fix the problem. The guy did something and left, but the results were the same. So, I called them again. They picked up the TV two weeks back and they still haven't figured out the uncontrollable. My repeated phone calls were answered with the same *irritating* response: "Sir, we are still working on your TV".
I've called Sony a zillion times in-between and they've not been of any support. Sony's customer service has deteriorated tremendously over the years.
About the TV itself, the picture quality of the TV is very good. It also looks slimy. Hope I did not have to deal with Sony customer service and the bozos from Advanced Electronics.

This box is great. The picture is brilliant and the color is
vibrant. It fits perfectly in the interruption we have for a television.
It is thin and light. Ordering the product through Amazon saved us
several hundred dollars as compared to the lowest sell for retailer on sale.
