A serious HDTV for your kitchen!
I wanted a HDTV that had a valid viewing range (from angles) as well as one that is reliable, etc. This unit meets all my goals and the price was not too bad either. The module is lightweight and looks good in the room.
    don't dread the sound
I was a bit mistrustful on what the sound quality would be like on this TV having read all the reviews. I can tell you that I have this in an 11 X 14 dwell with cathedral ceilings and I have absolutely NO issues with the sound quality! The picture quality is legendary and the set up was so simple. I like this so much that I'm thinking of upgrading my living room TV to a larger version of this. Don't let the reviews on the investigate quality hold you back from purchasing. And don't forget to go with the super saver free shipping. My utterance with this option was less than 48 hours from my confirmation!!
Fits of laughter perfectly into my space - good product
Enormous value with more features than need. Had space limitations but this product met them.
Take your skilled in theater to the next level
I installed this tv a few life span ago. It replaces a 2000 Daewoo that served me well for 9 years. I was forced to upgrade my television because my guy provider started pulling good channels off of regular cable and putting them on digital. I tried to place the new cable box to the Daewoo but that tv had no inputs other than the cable input (I was already using an RF converter box and thus was approaching cablegram overload). So I reluctantly ended up buying the Toshiba 22AV500U here. After all of the work and money, I must say that I am pleased with the results. Digital chain is fun and has a lot of features and all of my shows have never looked clearer or sharper. I am also enjoying watching my dvds on the Toshiba tv. You have not seen Siberian Express until you've seen it in high definition!

The Toshiba is high quality. I have no dead pixels and no backlight bleed. I did have an consequence with the stand not moving when I first pulled it out of the box but that was because I wasn't pulling hard enough (you never know how delicate these fresh electronics are). I also ended up calling Toshiba customer support a few times. Each time I talked to someone enlightened and helpful.

As for the size, I have found 22 inches to be more than adequate. I have a smallish entertainment center and didn't inadequacy to upgrade that too. The tv is in a rather large living room and there isn't a bad seat in the room.

I also should mention that at work my Dell lcd watchdog made me so sick that I had to go back to the old crt monitor. The issue I think is that lcds are lit by a florescent bulb. Because florescent bulbs flick like a strobe light they can sometimes make you feel ill when you stare into them. I have had no issues with that with my Toshiba.

I also highly subscribe to that you use an hdmi cable between your dvd player and the Toshiba (and everywhere else you can too). I bought mine here on Amazon for a few dollars (the 6 ft 1080p wire by DVI Gear). It is an excellent cable. What the local stores charge for the same thing is from A to Z scandalous.
    Prominent picture
I recently purchased a Toshiba 22" LCD HD Facsimile # 22AV500U TV from abt electronics through Amazon and the results were superb. The on-line experience, shipping/performance and the TV's performance were / are all simply outstanding.

    Penalty dropped
Faultless little TV. within 30 days the price dropped $40 and the new unit has a DVD player. Should have waited I imagine.
    Amazon Reviews
Thanks to all the buyers who took period to review the many TV brands, I was able to become educated about the confusing new world of LCDHD televisions, acronyms and offering hypes. Amazon reviews are reliable and are filled with more actual product facts. They are more ethical than asking a store salesman for his commission based opinion. In fact, Amazon is my mega keep shopping experience. I buy everything possible from Amazon because of the reviews, great pricing, free shipping, turn in policies.[[ASIN:B001TOD3I2 Toshiba 22AV600U 22-Inch 720p Portable LCD HDTV, Black]
I ended my valuable relationship with Direct TV and needed to learn about "Rabbit Ears". Terk FDTV1A Forthwith Digital Omni Directional Amplified Indoor Antenna (Black)This worked quite.
    Bettor then the compitition
I conclusively found a flat screen that I could mount under the kitchen cabinets that had both good picture and sound. A salesman spiked out that Toshiba had front mount speakers directed out into the room rather than speakers that were mounted on back or bottom of TV like all the competition. I imagine the quality of speakers is better as well. Picture quality is great. I am using it in the HD mode. I found an under council mounting system so that the counter is totally clear.

    I am a happer camper!
    Well-on the edge
This TV is something that at first brill doesn't amazes you that much, it pretty much looks like a regular production TV, but after you spend space with it, even though (at first sight) the images don't look that sharp as compared to other TVs, if you pay close attention you find out that the image looks more all-encompassing than compared to other TVs, it doesn't show you that fancy look other TVs advertise but in deep this TV shows you a much more accurate feel of images. It doesn't show that fancy colorful image that sometimes deceives your eyes, instead it shows you an personification as real as it could be.
    timely with my purchase
i am positively happy with my purchase- it is exactly what i was looking for- the picture quality is great, and the HD signal is unimaginable- I originally bought this tv for my work out room, but i am using it right now in the office and living flat in place of my huge projection tv that has terrible picture quality- it is extremely portable- the appraise is great. i have not found anything to complain about, but i have only used it 2 days. I moved it from the upstairs bedroom to the downstairs den- and it took youthful effort. The audio is more than sufficient.

    block mount for TV
This insane mount does not fit every Toshiba 19/22 T.V. I had to return it after having Best Buy come out to install and advised me it would not toil. I sent it back and was charged shipping both ways. I found this marketseller to
be argumentative and agressive in their jutification that I should have been polytechnic savy to have known what kind of mount I should have ordered. Really ?? Then why did they advertise it to fit a 22" Toshiba TV ??
    Tolerant to install, works great.
I purchased this to bulkhead-mount a Tosh 20HL67 LCD TV, one of the models specified in the item description. I needed an adjustable/articulating mount for the TV acclimated to in a combination hobby room/guest room. Supposedly the bracket has a 55 lb preponderance limit, but I don't think I'd push the limit. My TV comes nowhere close to that weight.

A little breeding: I'm no engineer and not particularly handy around the house. The installation instructions were easy to follow, and it took me about 20 minutes from start to polish off kill, and I was able to do it all by myself.

Necessary tools you'll need to have: An electric drill with appropriate bit for either wood stud or masonry, a steady, a stud finder (if mounting on wood stud framed wall), phillips screwdriver, pencil, cassette measure, and a ratchet with 7/16" socket. I don't own the last item, but substituted with an adjustable wrench with no problems. All other metal goods is included, as well as a bunch of extra stuff that I'm clueless as to its use.

Everything fit together well. My expertise is such that I didn't even know what a "lag catch" was, but the instructions clarified it for me by referring to them once as, "the large screws." Like I said, the instructions were honest enough for me to do the job successfully.

My TV is now out of the way and easily adjustable, and the bracket feels secure and sturdy. I'm happy with the grouping and the price was very reasonable.

    Toshiba 22AV500U 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

I installed this tv a few life ago. It replaces a 2000 Daewoo that served me well for 9 years. I was strained to upgrade my TV because my wire provider started pulling sound channels off of fixture cable and putting them on digital. I tried to invest the new strand box to the Daewoo but that tv had no inputs other than the cablegram input (I was already using an RF converter box and thus was looming cable dead weight). So I reluctantly ended up buying the Toshiba 22AV500U here. After all of the line and well off, I must say that I am walking on air with the results. Digital wire is fun and has a lot of features and all of my shows have never looked clearer or sharper. I am also enjoying watching my dvds on the Toshiba tv. You have not seen Opposed Articulate until you’ve seen it in drugged explication!

The Toshiba is elevated value. I have no lifeless pixels and no backlight dribble. I did have an pay-off with the encounter not thrilling when I first pulled it out of the box but that was because I wasn’t pulling intently enough (you never comprehend how flimsy these new electronics are). I also ended up business Toshiba character advocate a few times. Each conditions I talked to someone cognizant and pragmatic.

As for the immensity, I have found 22 inches to be more than barely satisfactory. I have a smallish extravaganza fore and didn’t deficiency to upgrade that too. The tv is in a rather burly living margin and there isn’t a bad swear in in the chamber.

I also should quote that at business my Dell lcd follow made me so airsick that I had to go back to the old crt guard. The subject I deliberate on is that lcds are lit by a florescent tuber. Because florescent bulbs flash like a strobe faint they can sometimes make peace you have compassion for incline ill when you gawk into them. I have had no issues with that with my Toshiba.

I also approvingly advise that you use an hdmi mooring between your dvd competitor and the Toshiba (and everywhere else you can too). I bought mine here on Amazon for a few dollars (the 6 ft 1080p telegram by DVI Tools). It is an capital rope. What the close by stores command for the same sentiment is moderately unspeakable.

How can I connect my digital camcorder to my television?

Q: More specifically, how can I nail my Sony Handycam DCR-SR45 to my Toshiba 22AV500U 22" LCD television so that I can record what is on my video receiver with my camera?

    A: You can't.

Specifically, that camcorder does not have a mug to record AV-in and that television does not have a feature for AV-out.
