Q: We are buying a 26 inch tv for a bedroom, with no gaming. Went to Kindest Buy and generally they only have Insignia or other lesser known brands in this price cover. So have been shopping on line and thus far have found LG's 26LG30 and Toshiba 26AV502U for under $500. For me, I like LG than more, because it look new and good design for currently with perfect specifications of TV.
How do I get the local HD channels on my Toshiba HD TV?
Q: I have a Toshiba 26av502u and it says it has a digital tuner. When I delve into the channels it can get it doesn't go to an (.) stations such as 28.1 and such. Does that note I cant get the local HD channels with the tv alone?
A: My guestimate is it could be a couple of things:
1. The TV is set to "cable" tuning. My new Toshiba was set to guy tuning out of the box. Check the menus, set the TV for "air" tuning and rescan for channels.
2. You don't have enough signal into the set for it to lock on and decode the signals. In this case, you will need a sick antenna or to reorient the one you have.
