Envision Flaw
I am not reliable if it was a design flaw or manufacturing flaw but unless you were looking straight on or slightly down at this TV, it would look extremely dark and nearly impossible to watch even with brightness maxed out. Considering that most residents now put these on the wall or elevated positions, it seems to be a major issue. When I called customer service the emissary said there is nothing that can be done and it is a common complaint. It is like the screen is installed upside down. I stood above it and looked down on it and the fill someone in was fine the problem is only when you are below or slightly below tv which makes no sense to me. If it is placed at a standard height and you are sitting down it will have the question. In my case it was on a dresser and unusable at even that slight elevation.
Amazon was great about the return. We exchanged it for an LG (no dvd integrated) and fancy it.

Strict TV clear picture. It actually looks bigger than 26". My daughter will be purchasing one in a second. I'm truly happy with my choice.

Consumable Value!
I bought this TV for a guest room. I also purchased a tilting/swiveling wall mount and hung the TV about 5' up the infuriate. I can't comment on the viewing angle issue others have noted since I can adjust it to be dead straight from any viewing principle. Apart from that, the set works flawlessly, is relatively lightweight, and the DVD player is easy to use. The picture status is fair, not fantastic - but more than acceptable for this price point.
This TV has proven to be ideal for my needs and I'm satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

Toshiba tv
The Toshiba 26 inch tv was easygoing to set up and is a nice looking tv. The picture is good if you are directly in front of the tv. However, if you are off to the sides, or below the direct graft of sight the picture quality is diminished noticeably. I would not recommend it for viewing in a latitude where you have multiple viewers.

The two day shipping was unrestricted but it took a week. The tv was light and easy to carry. Set up only took 5 minutes and it is a great facsimile and nice looking in my bedroom.

Through-and-through, except for the sound
I conclude from the reviews and was prepared either way (good sound or poor). I have to agree with those who reported that the sound is darned poor. Speakers are in the back. I plan on adding a couple small speakers.
That being said, this is a spectacular deal on an HDTV and a very good product. All other attributes are very good or excellent. It is the perfect appraise for a bedroom and I love the DVD player which was tough to find on TVs this size.

I taste my 26" Toshiba w/built in DVD player
I was a cheap reluctant to buy this product because of the complaints about sound volume and sound quality. For older population I can see their point. A 26" t.v. was considered large many years ago. If this T.V. was put in a large living room the normal might not seem powerful enough to comfortably fill the room. In a bedroom though, it is perfect. The picture is clear and rich. It also has blooming adjustments in the menu so that you can adjust the bass, treble, etc. I would definately recommend this T.V for a bedroom or a smaller living accommodation. The built in DVD player makes it especially nice. It keeps everything compact and helps keep the medley down in a childs room.
