I suggest a home theatre system. You can get a cheap one from Wal-Mart, that is still nice, for around $200. You can find cheaper, but I think that's a good middle ground for expense and performance. No, it won't be as good as a custom made deal, but for what you pay, it's not a bad way to go. Surround sound and a subwoofer add so much. It's verifiable to watch movies without it once you've used it a few times, I kid you not.
