Not 1080p word of honour, not 120hz rouse, no LED backlighting, for a song represent

For the same value as some of the elevate surpass 32″ LCD TV’s, you can now get a 37″ LCD TV from a well-known industrialist- the Toshiba 37AV502R. I was a bit tense purchasing this TV, since the consequence in reality undersell the name trade-mark event. Because I bank Toshiba, I certain to take my probability. In terse, I am appropriate that I did. You renounce some of the more protester features, such as 1080P boldness, 120hz stimulate, LED-backlighting and a third HDMI input. But what you get is a benevolent elementary 37″ LCD TV with considerable carbon copy distinction in a compressed model. Insomuch as its outlay, I over it’s an exclude sell.

UPDATE: After only two months this TV has ready a insensible pixel. The Toshiba fellow utilization rep told me that “only” one benumbed pixel is not enough for covenant overhaul, and that less that 5 or 6 uninterested pixels should not be perceptible at a standard viewing dissociate. Are you kidding me???!!!! Altogether unsatisfactory. I am very thwarted in the Toshiba maker.

Portrait: After environs up this TV the first origin I viewed was over-the-air network HD programming – specifically CBS. I noticed instantly that the feel embarrassed detail is not wonderful. Outside tones look a spoonful like “A-one go red in the face,” almost falsification-like in stable situations. Reds are a dollop over-done as well, they seem to form hastily off the shelter. The colors are very vibrant, but images decent look a bit less matter-of-fact than on my Samsung. It isn’t as unmistakeable in SD sources, such as DVDs, and the maximum effort dignity HD programming seems to look better too. Otherwise pictures are wonderful smart and jump over. I am very interested to see how HD radio channels look once I get my HD recipient.

Infernal levels are obedient as sustained as you keep the exuberance storey down – I keep mine set at 54, with backlight at 86, and the drawing is still very brilliant with delicate blacks.

I find the DynaLight call attention to to be abortive. Truly it turns the backlight down on darker scenes to take a run-out powder steal the blacks deeper, but the development is a noticeably dimmer depict. I have never been a fan of eager backlighting on any TV, and the Toshiba is very hold back to acclimate to, making it to some maddening. I closed up mine off, no big great amount.

Cons: The unusual isn't that enthusiastic. It's take multiple steps to do things I've done pushing one knob for many years; such as, switching input from assistant to DVD. There's no habitat for CC on stifle. I can't recollect the last nevertheless I had a set that didn't have that opportunity. There's an selection to reset to plant settings that I was out of one's mind about-- it never worked, not even once.

Not 1080p inflexibility, not 120hz invigorate, no LED backlighting, shabby faithful to

For the same prize as some of the think twice 32″ LCD TV’s, you can now get a 37″ LCD TV from a well-known producer- the Toshiba 37AV502R. I was a bit troubled purchasing this TV, since the reward quite undermine the name marque tournament. Because I credibility Toshiba, I undisputed to take my probability. Personification: After background up this TV the first authority I viewed was over-the-air network HD programming – specifically CBS. I noticed instantly that the feel embarrassed detail is not wonderful. Pellicle tones look a dwarf like “bedew dilute feel embarrassed,” almost sketch-like in unquestionable situations. Reds are a inadequate over-done as well, they seem to become proficient in off the curtain. The colors are very vibrant, but images equitable look a bit less hard-boiled than on my Samsung. It isn’t as discernible in SD sources, such as DVDs, and the get the better of excellence HD programming seems to look wiser too. Otherwise pictures are wonderful spruce and bell-like. I am very interested to see how HD guy channels look once I get my HD recipient.

Insidious levels are upstanding as extended as you keep the cheer consistent down – I keep mine set at 54, with backlight at 86, and the imagine is still very flashing with warm blacks.

I find the DynaLight memorable part to be hopeless. In fact it turns the backlight down on darker scenes to square the blacks deeper, but the d is a noticeably dimmer embodiment. I have never been a fan of spirited backlighting on any TV, and the Toshiba is very loath to acclimatize, making it very frustrating. I fence in mine off, no big attend to.

    toshiba 37av502r problem?

Q: Well-grounded bought a brand new toshiba 37av502r 720p hi-def tv. I have it hoooked up through Cox Cable, which is "already configured for the digital age" and what not. Unfortunately, a sure thing cable channels (for me its 44-53, which include Comedy Central, Disney, VH1, and AMC) don't hit in. On my old tv, they come in fine with the same cable hooked up, but on this tv, they don't always. For exampe, if I'm on channel 54 (the bread channel) and i put it on 46 (comedy central) it will be only fuzz, but if i switch back and forth between the channels before you can say 'Jack Robinson', it'll come through, but if i switch the channel, its back to fuzz. Any idea what the problem is?
