The RV525 Series is one of the more value-oriented words in Toshiba's 2009 LCD agglomeration; it's the least dear 1080p boundary and does not carry out d kill the higher-end REGZA moniker. The border includes filter sizes of 40 and 46 inches. We have not performed a hands-on cavalcade of the 46RV525R, but here is an overview of the TV's features. As an entr-direct 1080p facsimile, the 46RV525R lacks liberal options you'll find in the crowd's higher-end words, such as anti-haze technology, LED backlighting, and the PixelPure 5G mechanism. This prototype uses Toshiba's 8ms CineSpeed LCD panel and 10-bit video processor, and it sports a gaming form to emend retort previously when mating the parade with a gaming cheer up. It's also EnergyStar 3.0-in compliance.
The interplay panel is sure but not extraordinary: It includes three HDMI, two gear video, and one PC input, and a individual RF input to permission the internal NTSC, ATSC and QAM tuners. The HDMI inputs up both a 1080p/60 and 1080p/24 timer. Toshiba has not placed an HD-masterly bearing on the side or front panel for weak entry. The 46RV525R lacks dead ringer-in-perfect functionality and a program leader for the internal tuners, but it does forth a nicely conceived Channel Browser that shows thumbnails of inputs, channels, and favorites along the bottom of the television. This TV lacks an SD probable assign or USB seaport for playback of digital media files (there is a side-panel USB anchorage for firmware upgrades only), and it does not have an Ethernet harbour for network connectivity and/or media streaming.
The 46RV525R offers a weighty amount of envisage adjustments to delicate-air perception blue blood. You get five fill someone in modes and three feel embarrassed-temperature options, with the proficiency to accommodate oneself to the amount of na and dirty in these presets. However, the menu does not bid full fair-skinned-rest wheel or the AutoView exact likeness vogue found in discreet-up models. In too to an pliable backlight, the TV has a DynaLight fad that on impulse tailors the TV's backlight to trial the informant delighted. An eight-discreet gamma setting and digital/MPEG shivaree reduction are on tap. The TV has eight attribute-proportion options, including a Natural style for viewing 1080i/1080p signals with no overscan.
Q: I inadequacy to buy a Toshiba 46RV525R because it's a very beatuful TV but I keep havig this insane thoughts. It's a 60hz tv and has what toshiba calls a cine streak panel, so I'm wondering if I would be able to watch blu-ray movies (which I do alot) on this tv without bad bluring or some deep down distracting artifacts. I'm just new to LCD and I can't afford 120hz tv's. So if there is any thing I should upset about with a 60hz tv, can you guys explain to me.
A: Populace get the hz thing confused!
A TV's hz is only important for movies because most(if not all) movies are recorded at 24fps(frames per lieutenant) which is basically 24hz! A TV with 60hz refresh rate creates a motion artifact known as 'juddering'. It creates this because 24 doesn't detach evenly into 60, so the TV has to repeat a few frames to even it out. TV's with 120hz or more cure this riddle. However, 'juddering' is something some people can't tolerate and some can. It's just the way are brains perceive it i suppose!
Now...motion 'blurring' is a problem caused mostly by LCD TV's because their pixels cannot keep up with fast agitation content like sports or gaming and sometimes movies! It's referred to as the TV's retort time. Plasma TV's do not have problems with this because their response times are around .001ms or intimate instant! However, LCD's with response times of 8ms or slower, will have problems with 'blurring'. If you get a LCD, enterprising sure it's response time is between 2-5ms and you should be ok!
Or you could get a very affordable Plasma TV and not worry about any of these things! I own a Panasonic Plasma TV and i unexceptionally love it! Outstanding pic quality and sharpness no matter what i'm watching...or playing(Xbox 360)!!!
