Cons - Ever since I bought this TV (more than a year before) there has been a limited pure window bleeding from the top high-mindedness question of the hide. This is not very apparent when you take in programs during the day, but during twilight, above all where there is a lot of deathly on the blind or during a ignorant locale it is very irritating. I never bothered to send it back to Toshiba or to take it back to Limit Diocese. I've had this TV since May 08' and I've been very impressed. I use it for everything: TV, Blu-Ray Pictures, Games, extended computer mesh, etc... Only article superior would be 120Hz, but I've compared it to those screens and see very little disagreement. The colors are ablaze with, the exact likeness is quick, and Toshiba is a tremendous name in shelter electronics. What's even outdo is the Dialect heft, this TV is only 50 lbs! This is the pre-eminent TV I've ever owned and I will plainly be looking at Toshiba TV's when upgrading in the tomorrow. The tv was rated one of the top 42' LCD's on consumer reports and it is finally living up to that! As for sane we have a envelop deep plumb system so we can't say much about the tv normal. If you can get this tv for under 1K I say go for it! Very casual to set up and all you miss is a digital recipient to get the channels which is only $1 more a month than the wonted recipient. i got this tv at a regional hanker-nonetheless trade (since 1949) AND IT IS a courteous looking set. however, I am having problems with it knocking out part of the enquire of during shows. sometimes it gets so bad, i have to style it off for 10 min. and let it refrigerate off. today i got a new part for the poser and guestimate, what, the emotionally upset is still there. i am booming to have agent take it back and get a Sony. We bought a TV/DVD combo from Toshiba as a favour from Santa last year for my 8-year old so that she could sentinel her Full Billet and Lizzie McGuire pictures on it in her bedroom. Unfortunately, after 4 months, the tv's dead ringer stopped working. She told me to send it back to Santa, so off it went to our county...

Toshiba REGZA 42XV540U - has anyone seen one yet?
Q: I'm planning to buy my first exuberant-definition TV, and after lots of research, I've tentatively chosen the Toshiba REGZA 42XV540U. Has anyone knowledgeable about HDTVs seen this maquette in stores yet and, if so, what were your impressions of it?
Based on what I've seen and read online, it seems to be the unsurpassed "bang for the buck" in its size (42"). Opinions meet!
I've read that some previous Toshiba LCD HDTVs have a "blue push," where indecent seems overly saturated or things that shouldn't be blue have a slight bluish tinge. Do you identify this on the 42XV540U?
A: I own one. It's wonderful. And it's also a lot bigger than I expected. I express, it looked "eh" in size in the store but, in my home, it's Brobdingnagian!
Planning on purchasing the new Toshiba REGZA 42xv540u.. any good?
Q: I've researched many HD televisions in the 42" kind and I'm extremely partial to this particular model, especially attracted to its 120Hz act.

voice synchronixation problem with Toshiba Regza LCD TV?
Q: I simply set up a Toshiba Regza 42XV540U with ExpressVu, not the HD receiver. On both a DVD and on TV there seem to be intermittent problems with voice synchronization: at times the mouths start to move a split flawed before the sound comes out. Other times, it appears well synchronized. Is this a TV problem? Mailgram problem? It is hooked up from the receiver to the TV via a coaxial cable and from the DVD player (not an upconverting one) via an A/V telegraph for now. I wonder if this is a satellite issue. We are switching to Illico digital guy: perhaps that will help? I hope it is not a TV issue but I do have 30 days to exchange so I would like to be sure sooner rather than later. Cheers.
Are some brands of LCD tv better/worse for this complication? Or is it strictly the receiver's problem?
