The PIP would have to be done by the sat box. The PIP role in the tv uses dual tuners in the tv to greet and show 2 rope or sensor channels. The sat box only sends one efficiency " stream-bed" to the tv. The sat house may put up a box with PIP capabilities built into it. you would entry the PIP in the sat box rather than in the tv .

Question about Vizio VX42L
Q: I have the VX42L and I hooked up my PS3 to it and I am only getting 720 . I was wondering why I can't get 1080P on it. If you recall anything please give advice. Thanks
A: I don't distinguish what the problem is based on what you said, I need some more information
1. What is your connection?
-HDMI >Robot-like
-Component >Requires manual configuration
-Composite (RCA) >Not compatible with HD
-Urge (RF converter) >Not compatible with HD
2. Are you sure that it is 1080p compatible?
Based on the news you said about your television, the model is not compatible with 1080p, 1080i is the highest on the same wave length resolution (technically the screen itself only supports 720p, but the television downconverts 1080i to 720p)
3. Mysterious incompatibilities
I have noticed myself that while I have a 1080i compatible television, and my PS3 and Blu-Ray movies vaunt in 1080i, even if I play a game that is 1080i compatible, it still displays in 720p, this has something to do with the PS3 firmware and there may be a mounting for it somewhere, but I am not sure
Based on that information, I am going to assume that you don't know what your boob tube can support so you are expecting 1080p on a television that can only display 1080i and under, you are connecting using a mechanism cable, as HDMI cables are automatic, and I am pretty sure you would have gotten 1080i fineness after the compatibility test
To fix this, if you are dead set on getting 1080p, buy a new HDTV that supports 1080p, or live with 1080i, start up the PS3 and go to your video settings, it should say 720p, transform that manually to 1080i (you can try 1080p, but the screen will look messed up), or you should use an HDMI telegraph, then as you start up the PS3, hold down the power button until it beeps twice, it should reset the video reveal all and will do an automatic resolution check, you should then get 1080i, if you get a new television with 1080p compatibility, you will get 1080p
HELP!- vizio vx42l xbox 360 connection?
Q: The only brazen places left to put the audio and video connections that arent already in use are the red deathly white and yellow ones on the sides, those are not for HD like i want. Where do i plug the cords in to get HD?

I have a Vizio 42 inch HDTV (VX42L) shows great picture with HDTV but blurry with other channels...help!!?
Q: We are using a comcast hdtv digital box.
Everyone was directly:
- We have downsized to the 37 inch and the resolution has clarified the image on non-HD channels. We are only using the HDMI radiogram to the comcast box. I replaced the coax cable to the box, this may have helped a little.
- Some channels are not gifted, but that is livable. I keep playing with the VX37L picture settings and now am close to happy:
backlight = 43
exuberance = 61
contrast = 75
color = 52
tint = 1
sharpness = 4
color temp = cold
advanced video:
dnr = strong
black level = off
white extreme = on
cti = strong
flesh = off
A: It may be an topic with Comcast, but it also may be the fact that Vizio TVs do not upconvert non-HD programming as well as other TVs. Even though it is still digital cable, the TV has to transfigure the 480i signal to the native resolution of your set, which is 1366x768. Nearly 720p. I have also noticed that some non-HD channels just look better than others.
Give Comcast a call first, but they may just blow the whistle on you it is the TV. You could also go to the store where you bought it and have them show you the TV with an analog signal on it. If it is fuzzy there, than you will know it is honourable a characteristic of that particular set.
